What's this, new art? And non-Halo art, no less?Commission for of a haz-op clone trooper character of his. It's been slow going for me on the art front lately due to being busy with life but I hope to be able to pick up the pace.

Lol yeah, I really need to start doing more non-Halo stuff. It sometimes feels like I've carved myself too deep into my particular niche and I have so many ideas to illustrate it tends to be pretty much all I do, on here anyways. I've had plans to do something with an original sci-fi universe of mine close to forever now, but it's been on the back burner for the last few years and will probably continue to be for the immediate future.

Starting out with established franchises is also useful for building up visibility for oneself. It's a harsh reality out here that fan art is simply more popular than original stuff -- people automatically tend to favor things they recognize -- and you have to be either really good or already popular to have an audience with original work. I mean, I like drawing the things I do so it's not really a problem for me, just more of a general observation.

Clone troopers will always be the best troopers. Also they're trained to hit the target when they shoot unlike SOME troopers.

The glowing sights are just something I added because I thought they fit the dark-ish environment. I kind of like Star Wars having a certain retro aesthetic rather than going full tacticool, but it's not like pouches and such haven't been a thing since WWII.

Meh, it's a balancing act. I love the retro 70s feel of everything in Star Wars, as long as it looks practical. Chest rigs are great modern practical things, as long as they're not issued to rank and file stormtroopers, I'm fine with them.
I would definitely suggest more Clone War era stuff if you're gonna do more SW.

i am glad you like the idea.
Β basically Risk probably doesn't have the same level of training as an ARC trooper as he is still quiet low down the chain but him and the rest of Ocean company have revived additional specialist training and equipment in order to fight in either naturally Toxic atmospheres or battlefields where Bio / chemical weapons have been employed they're similar to the scuba troopers that you often see Kit Fisto leading.Β Β
