A little gift for my ever-so-slightly emotionally unstable friend; CharizardtheArtist

This was supposed to be a Christmas gift, but obviously I suffered from numerous delays and distractions (i.e.; getting sucked into learning Blender 3D again...) But man, taking my time, not rushing through it, and really putting in the effort proved successful. Seriously, I cannot begin to describe how happy I am with the results of my handiwork. Everything turned out exactly as I had envisioned from the start. The shadows, character, background, and definitely the starship. Just the ship alone took me a whole evening of non-stop work to sketch-n'-pen.

This picture was inspired by a screenshot that I saw from the ever popular-yet obscure game; EVE: Online. In particular, that screenshot was of a Republic Fleet Firetail frigate "docked" within a hangar. Because my friend's character also has a flame-tipped tail, my mind immediately meshed the screenshot with that character, spurring me to action. It was going to be a Christmas gift as I said, but I didn't start work until after Christmas. I'm actually kinda thankful that I didn't, 'cause otherwise I would've rushed this and it would've looked like crap, which is not what I wanted.

So yeah, here's James the half-human/firetail dragon gazing upon his newly acquired warship-coincidentally classified as Firetail. I took some liberties and interperated the details given for the character concerned, I do sincerely hope you like the way I illustrated James. Now, in the far-flung future, James has shed his mortal life to become the infamous, powerful, nigh-untouchable Capsuleer. The immortals of New Eden. Great allies to some, Cold-blooded slaughterers to others. By means of cybernetic interface, the Capsuleer is directly integrated into their ship, allowing unprecedented control of all subsystems. No longer bound by time or law, the Capsuleer is free to do as they please. Upon the moment of death, the consciousness of the Capsuleer is transferred to a new clone of the original body. The cluster is at the whim of these beings.

Sorry about the completely out-of-context-but-still-related bit there. How else would one get premium parking rights, and normally superior technology though? To better summarize what being a Capsuleer is, I'll put a link to a fairly recent trailer put out by CCP games that describe it pretty well. youtu.be/M5AtqXOe3Jw Just be wary, the actual gameplay isn't nearly as epic as the trailers make it out to be.

Man, I have this weird thing where I take one of my friend's characters and put them next to something that I like.
