I know, Β but I don't really care that Heroes has him with two hands. That doesn't work with my story. :/

Love how you handled him.
It pains me that (at least in America) in every single video game he's in (save for DBZ Sagas, but that game sucked) he has two arms instead of one.....but only punches with one arm.
It's unnecessary censorship, I tells ya.

It's not censorship per say. The DB franchise, games included, are all intended to be marketed towards young kids (though that doesn't mean everyone can't enjoy it). If they remove the arm, Namco Bandai will have to raise the ESRB rating to M for Mature, which is counterproductive of getting the product to their intended demographic.

Huh...never looked at it that way. Seeing it from that angle, having the extra arm DOES make somewhat sense now.

Ive always been interested in his power. Id think at SSJ he could handle Freeza, not as easily as Goku did but still able to beat him. Id say at SSJ3 he should at least be able to handle Cell and at Mystic, perhaps own Dabra or the other minions of Babidi.

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to Yamato012 [2013-06-26 21:11:56 +0000 UTC]
In the TV special at least, he's basically shown to go head to head with one of the Jinzoningen on his own, the problem is that there is two of 'em. Freeza shouldn't be shit to him by that point. He might be in Cell's ballpark with SS3, but I doubt he'd beat him thanks to form flaws and regeneration. Ultimate would be tough to say; theoretically, it should draw out all the power he could have up till that point, and then take it a bit further. He should probably be in the same ballpark as our normal Ultimate Gohan, if not stronger because he's older and in his physical prime.

Well I wouldent think Future Mystic Gohan could stack with the normal one. Future Gohan never had that year in the time chamber with Goku and therefore never gained the most important training session of his life. At the most, id say Mystic Future Gohan could handle Fat Buu considering Mystic Gohan is more like his father and consistently trains compared to the normal Gohan who only trains when there is a threat.

The Elder Kaioshin's technique unlocks the person's hidden potential and beyond. I don't think it'd matter if he'd trained up to his present self's usable power or not, as the hidden potential should be about the same for both Gohans regardless (assuming they were at the same age).Β

Yamato012 In reply to The-Devils-Corpse [2013-06-27 00:10:59 +0000 UTC]
I know what you mean, but it just seems to make more sense that your potential is greater the more you train. I mean the more you train your body, the more you can do with it and get out of it so wouldn't it make sense that someone who trains on a regular basis would have more potential than one who barley trains at all?

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to Yamato012 [2013-06-27 00:23:23 +0000 UTC]
I agree to a point. If one Gohan was a completely lazy bastard for all his life while the other trained hardcore, sure, there would be no reason for the lazy one to have half the potential of the fit one. Both of the Gohans here though have trained pretty regularly, with future Gohan's biggest downfall being that he had no one at his level to help him train and make the kind of gains his present self did in the RoSaT, and by the time he almost did, he died.
If you want to use your logic though, I might actually make an argument that the future Gohan should be WAY stronger after becoming Ultimate. Because while present Gohan trained 3 years for the Jinzoningen and then that extra year of an absurd gain in the RoSaT, he then proceeded to slack off for 7 years. Future Gohan, on the other hand, didn't train the three years for the Jinzoningen, but then worked his ass off continuously for over a decade trying to defeat them once they appeared, building up hidden potential that he just didn't have the appropriate training to bring out...while present Gohan's did nothing but stagnate while reading books.

It basically comes down to quality over quanity then. Gohan didnt train as much, but look who he trained with. The 3 years with Goku and Piccolo and then the whole year with Goku in the Time Chamber, one of the harshest known environments known in the Z universe. Future Gohan trained alot more, but when it came to training all he had was Future Trunks and Trunks was nowhere near Gohan's level at that time. He had nobody to really push him like his normal counterpart did. That and Future Gohan didnt really have the time to rest after his bouts with the Androids as his time was spent training the at the time useless Future Trunks who couldent push Gohan, and deterring the Androids when they attacked.
