*warning,if you watch me only for my "pretty pictures" this may contain a rant of sorts,but if you watch me like a persone who likes my art AND my opinion feel free to read*Ah Vortians.....
Don't ya just love all the possibilities from the show?.....
....but sadly everyone just wants a little ms/mr perfect OC
Oooo look at meh head,it's all correct and shit.....
Hell it makes me wonder if half these people watched the show...
Man....i really like that first guy CAUSE his head is all fucked up,he's ugly and that's why he's so cool.
Not to mention the lack of interesting outfits sadden me....
So last night while i was doodling and drinkin' meh ice tea i thought....
Well heck,i have people tell me everyday how close i stay to the show.....why not wing it and draw some vortians who would fit perfectly on it.
Vortians of course are a concept my Mr.Vasquez...so of course he owns them..... Oh no....you free to steal them from him...but first you must walk up to his spooky house and combat him for the rights.
Hmmm...now looking at this picture again it makes me think.....
That first guy looks like he'd be voiced by the guy who did Ren's voice from Ren and stimpy.

I DO admire you most for the fact you can mess up characters instead of making them perfect--that's a talent that a lot of people take for granted. I wish I could make ugly characters. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

I'm designing up a team for my irken elite OC, and I just realized how incredibly fun it is to draw their heads all messed up. These vortians are great inspiration.

lmfao, I completely agree! I think you should make Mr. Spooky-head into a character. Because that is... that is one messed up head. Wow. I mean, it's /impressive/. -claps-
I love the freaked out guard and the really tall girl. Also, your robe concepts = awesome. I've always imagined Vortians being partial to all kinds of... robey... things.
I guess people are afraid to experiment when it comes to OC's, or find demented heads hard to draw. When I first started sketching my own OC's, I based them off of Zim's head... because everything else seemed impossible! >>; Oh geez, my first Irkens were so horrifyingly bad. I don't think words can describe... it hurts to even think... augh...
You make me want to draw Vortians now. Or redraw my OC's (who seriously need a freakin' ref, anyway). Baha. XD

Haha, no problem! Ah, definitely. I love how quirky and insane it is, too. It's nice because you can do so much with it. And all the different styles are nice, but I like seeing IZ art that's true to its roots. Haha.
Aww, poor Demento Head! XD Well, he is in prison. Maybe he can be a janitor. Or work at the prison food station. His clothes look important, so maybe he used to have a really nice job before the takeover.

yes you have a point. I do always admire people who like to do the varying head shapes and actually pull it off well... Makes the characters more individualistic and.. real..... despite how whacky the head shapes may be sometimes.
Me I have trouble with variation considering my style. Kinda guilty of the 'perfect' vortians/irkens..cause they're all... anime-ish/realistic. Something I need to work on, m'yes.
All of these designs here are very varied and well done. The first dude's outfit is the most interesting I think.

Mmm Well albino is a neat concept for the Vortian,personally i think it's better than alot of things that have been included in those type of OC's such as really normal people cloths and boring story lines...Ooooo whoop de do,they're all resistance >.>

Hah, so damn true, everyone tries to make vorts perfect, but its not only vorts you know..irkens too..its sad rly..i mean i go for anthro style, so my differenmces are subtle cuz theyre not in carricature like cartoon mode, but..well... my "irken" universe is alot different from most out there so i shouldnt be comparing..hell in the end i wont be using the term irken anymore XD still while im in the fandom my main race is so to speak Irken.
