Giving Bokkun a bath. To Bocoe and Chris it's just a normal evening.Even robot, or cyborg, thingies... whatever Bokkun is supposed to be, need baths... They just do, okay.
Must suck to bathe anything when you're a robot.

Eggman has those fish and crab robots that go underwater in the games, so I imagine that Eggman goes the extra mile to make sure his robots are sealed tight to keep water and moisture out.

Well....this is adorable. xD I can only see this happening because of how...childish Bokkun is, and how parental Decoe is.
So, I think Bokkun is a Chao...just saying. >.>
Also, you mention how there is a theory that Chris was a clone...
I, personally, theories that Chris could be Eggman as a child, and that Sonic and the gang all go back in time. HOWEVER, there is a nice jack hammer to my theory.Β THORNDYKE! The only way my theory could work is if Eggman later had his last name changed.

I always saw Decoe and Bocoe being parental like figures in general. As for Bokkun, whatever he is, he sure doesn't seem like he's entirely artificial.
Well this picture is just based from an AU of mine, so it's completely separate from the Sonic X canon, even though it has various elements from it. So Eggman cloning himself is something I just made up for that.
But yes, that was always one of the theories I've always held concerning any possible connections between Eggman and Chris in the show itself. I always theorized that Chris was Eggman from the past, and that Chaos Control accident caused them to travel back in time. Changing your name's not that hard, after all. Pfff! Another one I have is that Chris could simply be an alternate reality version of Eggman.(seeing how the concept of alternate realities is a commonly element in Sonic media) Though if were to go for something more believable, I'd think that Chris could possibly just be a distant relative/descendent from the Robotnik family. You never know who could have been sleeping around with who. Β There's also only a 12 year age gap between his father and his grandfather, Chuck, according to those eye catch data cards, which opens up the possibility for adoption. Chris himself could have even been adopted, if you want to go the cliched route.

...Gosh, I love Decoe~ xD People don't give him the benefit of the doubt. They REALLY need to look before saying "Oh, they have no character what so ever!" Because he clearly does!!
*nods* Yes, I agree with all of those ideas.
I mean, Chris has brown hair, wears Red. He knows Sonic, and (linking to my own Canon here) doesn't get much love in terms of family or friends (UNTIL Sonic comes along!)
But I do like that he could be related in some way. After all, we have virtually NO Family tree for Eggman, only knowing his Grandfather, Cousin, and Nephew, who has a father (named...Colin I believe) and a dead mother. However, we know nothing else (Unless I missed something). Nothing about his own parents, their parents (Besides the Father's father, Gerald) or if he has any brothers...Well...Colin could potentially be Eggman's brother...
But nothing else...

I used to not really think much of Decoe and Bocoe, until rewatching Sonic X last year. They've grown on me since. Those didn't really have much character at the beginning, but there wasn't really much attention paid to them until later on in the series. I liked seeing there eventually developing with not much character to actually being one of the more empathetic out of the many robot lackey characters types Eggman's had over the years. Seeing how they obviously grew a soft spot toward Chris later on in the show, and didn't want him to leave at the end of the series, makes me believe it's highly possible that those two were also built to provide companionship- it's just that Eggman's doesn't give them much room for them to excercise it.
Both Eggman And Chris also share the same eye color, blue.(if Eggman's model from 06 is anything to go by) Same shade of blue, at that. It's also clear that, like Decoe and Bocoe, Eggman eventually grew a soft spot toward the kid later on in Sonic X, even though it's subtle, so it makes me wonder.

*nods* If you read the Sonic X comics, you will find more Character development [which I first found out about the two]
Decoe is very...I can't really find the word for it. He is very smart, or is trying to be. He reads, and reads about the life of humans, which later gives him and Bocoe jobs [that was funny.]
I really need to watch the show again...but in Japanese, this time [However...I do love hearing Mike Pollock's FIRST ever voice acting of Eggman. Boy did it change since then. xD]
...WHAT?! *looks at a picture of Chris* OH MY GOSH! He DOES have blue eyes!! Wait...I thought Eggman had sky blue eyes...\o-o/Β
But...OH MY GOSH!! I had no idea about that!!
...wait a minute...you...know...about Eggman's eyes being blue...DO YOU KNOW THAT HIS NAME IS ALSO IVO?!?! OoO!! (Not a lot of people I talk to know this.)
And that is why I want to watch the Japanese version. There is more of a fatherly bond with Eggman and Chris in that one.

It feels so weird going back and watching Mike Pollock when he first voiced Eggman in Sonic X. Sounded much deeper and gruff.(since he was trying to sound more like the late Deem Bristow, at first) Pfff! Would be really interesting to compare his newer voice work from then and now, if they ever make a new(and more faithful) dub of the show, since I seriously doubt they'll replace Mike until either he retires or dies.
Yep! I named Chris "Ovi" as his birth name in my AU, as it's simply Ivo backwards and both names mean egg.(though I did try to give Chris' birth name something different at first, by looking up egg in different languages, but nothing came out sounding right)
If you want to watch Sonic X in Japanese, without any edits or censoring, I can link you to where you can download it subbed. Though be prepared to wait a some time for them to download, however, with there being so many files. But they to have to the highest video quality out of all downloads I've come across.

Yeah. But I really did like the comics. They were the closest to just...I don't know, but it was really nice to go back to Sonic X for a change. And it gave some great Character development to some of the characters [Eggman didn't want to really go back to being evil after getting positive attention. Decoe (or was it Bocoe...cannot remember xD) tried to change his mind to protect him. <3]
*nods* Yep. Gosh, he sounds so much different in Sonic Lost World from Sonic X. He sounds...human, almost (I noticed this in Sonic Colors, though)Β
And yet...I wounder how horrible Mike felt when he learned that after he got the job...the old Eggman died. I know I would...badly.
...I love you -erhh- Sorry...it is just, I can never find someone who knows of Ivo's blue eyes AND his name being Ivo!! They always ether call him Julian or give him red eyes...or BOTH. (The only other time, off the top of my head, is the "Ruins of the Fourth Wall" Which did him right both ways)
I know they named him Ivo because Ovi is Egg in...Italian, I think...I know Ivo is Archer in French...and the wood that bows are made from...
And from some site, it explains...virtually...EVERYTHING Ivo is, which was kind of creepy if you think about it.

Okay, my real answer; This is based off an AU, where Chris was created by Eggman via cloning himself, since he was in need of an heir. Chris is left in the care of robots, while daddy dearest is constantly gone having sissy slap fights with Sonic.
