Description
Original cell from the 1968 Shapiro and Mulligan cartoon. It was a mess. Terrible writing, voice acting, and more!!my take on the Hanna Barbera style and an attempt at a screenshot. sorry for lazy background :T

Slagging off HB? You're treading on thin ice my lass! Though I will say I do swing towards their earlier stylistic stuff, before the 101 Great Dane self-rip-offs! I actually rather like the cel effect too.

I dont hate HB lol ;^) i do quite like the cornyness of them all, even if a certain show involving a Drac Pack upsets me :T all those "mystery kids and their quirky sidekick" shows are harmless enough, except Fang Face >:^C
also thanks!! c: i like how the cel effect turned out too!

Fang face was actually produced by Ruby-Spears (the creators of Scoob') after they formed their own studio, so maybe that's the reason why!

In fairness the lazy background is quite fitting for a HB production.
You captured the style really well! Just don't let them do a crossover with Scooby Doo.

While doing reference for the background, HB backgrounds are actually very well done c: even just for one scene they look better than what i threw together in like 40 min lol
Thank you very much!! c: haha they wouldnt do a crossover, they already have a friend who has a dog B^)

I'm going to have to look at a few properly then. I always found it funny how they constantly loop in the background though.
Thank goodness for that!

"Sorry for the lazy background." But you said this was a tribute to HB!!
Nonetheless, I love this charming homage to those old toons. Shapiro n Mulligan look their respective parts and the style is very clean and cartoony. Great job overall, Clarice!

Say what you will about it but this stillΒ looks better than a Hanna Barbera cartoon from 1968. Β And it could be far, far worse than that, too - they could just be still drawings with the voiceactors' mouths superimposed onto the faces.
