The background is maybe a bit crude, technically speaking, but the neko is sweet and pleasant. And the concept is adorable.

I bet you could find many people who're better than me at giving you tips on digital stuff. I'm a trad artist, I've only made couple of digital works.
Do check out the GimmeFeedback club that is mentioned in my sig -- there are some cool digital artists there that might be able to help you, if you post your work there.

This is my kind of weird XD. I like that slightly baffled expression she has. The techniques you've used to render the foliage in the background are very interesting, and aren't a style I've seen done before.
Since you checked the critique box, I will say that the main weakness of this painting is the colour balance. The use of pastel shades on the character leads to the eye being distracted by the more saturated greens in the background. You could alleviate the problem by desaturating the background colours and/or adding some neutral blues to the shadows of the foliage. This should bring the focus back to the character.
Aside from that, the colour choices for the character are good and the gentle shading fitting. Good work.

Thanks for the tips on the colour balance, I completely see what you mean :3 The bushes are made from a brush I have on this computer, it's great for doing leaves when done properly, but I think I need a little more practise with it
