Oh yeah, fan art... I still do that, don't I? X3Yes, I realised how little I've done works like this since I made my new channel, but even though I want to put more time and focus into my own stories, I'll try to fit some time in to draw fan art of games, TV shows, or films and such.
By the way, if you're wondering what's up with Mario and Peach's clothes, take a look at their sprites in the NES game, "Super Mario Bros."

Gotta say here...it sure quite surreal with a very great blend of the classic Mario and Peach sprites with the modern designs.
I certainly liked the details put into this, such as the bubbling lava below, the broken chains from Mario's lifting of the ax, the floating hearts from Princess Peach, coupled with her modern design, and the grey bricks from World 8-4 in the game.
The drawing will look more complete if we have Luigi appearing here, where he's in his modern tall and skinny design but wearing a white shirt and cap and green overalls as per his original sprite, in the background, likely emerging from the hole.
Either way, great drawing here and keep up the good work!

Dude this takes the original nes title Super Mario brothers to the next level, I never thought that this is what it would look like if it had a HD remake of this is mind blowing awesome you are a great artist! I love the original game and you turn my childhood into something mind blowing awesomeness, I love it so much!!! They need to make this a real game. This is just has the right kind of Portrayal. The Dynamic Plumbers surrounded by such well detailed foes of each kind. one can just picture more are hideing some where in the room as the main fokus is on Mario and Lugie, both suited to fight. The lighting adds an almost eerie atmospheer to the dark room and the curved background and foreground just make it all the more 3dimensional. This is how I pikture good game kover to look. or even a tv series. but above all it give everyone of these charekters a perfektly self expressioned memorable Personality

A perfect blend between old and new, this portrait clearly shows that the original Super Mario Bros. has withstood the test of time and will forever be remembered as the game that started it all.
Blending Mario's old design with Bowser's new portrayal, while mixing Peach (or rather Princess Toadstool) with her current and older look shows how the series has changed over the years, and the smaller details, such as the chain links breaking, the stand for the axe, and the destructive, cloudy landscape in the background make this art stand out from the other tributes made to this timeless classic.

Oh. My. God. Very Interesting! I honestly thought i would never see anything like this, but you have bypassed my expectations on something like this by alot! I honestly thought I was the only one who still cared about SMB. but no! Anyways, Mario's pose is pretty cool, and you got the clothes spot-on! The only thing that is missing is a couple of warp pipes, some Mushroom Retainers, and Luigi, but other than that, this is really fantastic! I like Peach's floatig hearts! The background is really dynamic. Basically, you get a 20/5 and this is the most amazing Mario-related thing ever!

Well, there wasn't any warp pipes in any of the Bowser castles in Super Mario Bros., but I would agree; To see Luigi in the background trying to untie the princess from the ropes.

Yeah, you traveled through them to GET to Bowser(Or 'King Koopa'), but I was assuming you meant "In the Boss Room Itself" where there were NO Warp Pipes :3
But I saw you loved the game right? You know Super Mario Bros. 4 was RUMORED and THAT is getting me pumped. If it IS true, I would like something relating to the old games, not something like New Super Mario Bros, which were good, but if the graphics were like it then you might as well call it New Super Mario Bros 3
I was thinking of the game looking like Super Paper Mario but NO paper at all. All the textured would be cartooney and 2-D, as well as similar platforming and levels to the classics. Just to give it an older feel ^_^
