- The colors on Discovery’s clothes are inspired by the bare metal look each shuttle sported during their construction
- The hangar behind them is at USAF Plant 42, which supported facilities for production, engineering, and final assembly of the shuttles as well as other advanced aircraft (and Columbia’s glass cockpit upgrade from 1999-2001).
