- Hey, I’ve read all about your accident. That much gamma exposure should have killed you.- So you’re saying that the Hulk…the other guy…saved my life? That’s nice. It’s a nice sentiment. Saved it for what?

I love the Science Bros' relationship. I love Tony's unending faith in Banner's humanity, his faith that a man of Banner's calibre of intelligence and good intentions should never be locked up, never treated as anything less than the sum total of his mind.

I didn't notice until my second watch of the movie, but Tony tries so very hard to integrate Banner in the group's going-ons. Banner is a man who's worked hard in everything his whole life, only to have his last world-changing project blow up (literally) in his face. I think Tony might see something of himself in that situation - spectacular intelligence marked by one association nobody seems to ever drop. For him, it's his munitions past; for Banner, it's the Hulk.
Banner, unfortunately, isn't as disarmingly charming as Tony, so people are less inclined to forgive his perceived fault. Tony tries to bridge that gap and it is the most beautiful bromance in modern cinematic history and sorry for rambling and thanks again!

I'm thrilled you think so! I'll admit -with no lack of abashment- that the subtler points of the marvellous Banner-Stark bromance were lost on me until ...the third watch of Avengers. I definitely liked how Tony made sure that nobody on the airship ever treated Banner like he was a liability or a hazard, much less while he was in the same room.

Hot diggity thank you! One of my favourite aspects of the battle scene is how pre-battle, Tony asks the Avengers if Banner's shown up yet. When Steve asks "what?" Tony says "never mind; just keep me posted" because he knew that Banner wasn't going to walk away from this fight or watch from the sidelines. He knew the Hulk was going to come back.

And the best part is how much FAITH that showed that he had in Bruce, had faith in the man (and monster -but a good monster-) that he truly was~ It's just so damn amazing and I love it <3

Yeah i was wondering about that part too when i watched it, ^^: I really want to see it again but i've been so besy i just haven't had the time. But yeah I wonder how tony knew that bruce would come back to help them all, I don't think he did expect Hulk to save him; but i think Hulk did it becasue Tony's the only one out of the team that's not scared of him.
