I'm pretty ambivalent until more content is released. For one, I'm always excited about more SW material, but I'm curious to see how the producers will stretch one mission into a two-hour movie - especially when spy missions like that have always been hand-waved off as something that happened in the background (and happen quite quickly) in the main canon. To be honest, I'm also hesitant about the casting since it looks to be another male-heavy production, even though Felicity Jones seems to be presented as the central protag (and even then, it's going to be the fourth SW canon "chunk" where the featured female character is another white brunette woman). It's a plus that the male side of the cast seems to be more diverse, but I'm still generally wary of the movie so far.Β 

That said, yay for more Star Wars, yay for stuff in space.Β
