Of course they will. The MLP staff aren't the kind to bring up a plot device like this and simply ignore it. Just look at Starswirl's book. That thing made a very subtle appearance at the very end of the Season 3 premier. This thing was right out in the open.

I doubt it. I mean look at Season 3 when Luna held up Starswirl's book at the very end of the premier. It was subtle and yet it still came back in the end.

I couldn't resist putting something like that in there. The box has me fascinated that part of me wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being nothing and their whole quest to find the keys was just supposed to help strengthen their bond of friendship by rediscovering the spirit of each Element.

Who knows? Could be a 7th Element, a seed for another Tree of Harmony, replacements for the Elements of Harmony or it could be nothing. Part of me speculates it might be one of those team building quests where the real treasure or reward is the time they spent working together as friends to find the keys.
