I'm not just being a butthurt fanboy when I say I can't stand the new Dante. I've played the demo and his dialogue and the writing for the game as a whole is terrible. So here comes the true messiah to save us from Capcom's sins.Also this: [link]

If only the disastrous reboot had really ended in this manner,I could have gotten something enjoyable out of the game. Alas it would have made for a better ending. Long live the original and real Dante.
Thank Sparda Crapcom came to their senses and has disowned the reboot.
They still have a long way to go to get back into my good graces though.

oh yeah - i dont like this guy ... the game had potential for me at the beginning. After seeing all intros, trailers - and the whoooole walkthrough on youtube - no thanks. Men-whore ...

Yeah. I plan to get the game eventually and do a full review of it but I was not impressed by the demo and I can't stand the character. Looking at your gallery, you don't like you had too much of a problem with him.

nope - i actually did like Dino outlook - but not the first, only the one he's now 
And i heard this is not Dante - only some clone of the real one. Trailer was made in way i thought this is gonna be in the game - so i didnt mind, but outlook was horrible. After they change it - i though its gonna be interesting. Well - they faild - Capcom and ninja theory.

Yeah. I think one of the worst things was the way they showed such utter contempt for the fans by doing that awfully bad taste wig joke, only having classic Dante as a crappy-looking DLC costume (which I think is already on the disc) and actually having the gall to claim "this is the real Dante."

I like dark Dino costume - i think it was that one ... - neo is failure. Well - finally i know how to change colors and some other stuff - so i probably change few things for my private use ^^.

Oh so you note, as a fan of the original and have the originals not the HD I have to tell you the dialogue and writing for the other games were not stellar and if your basing a full game off the demo that does not have much dialogue in it. that like reading an excerpt from a book and saying the full story and writing sucks...well yeah Dante if you have played all the games and noticed he is not even the same in any of the games nothing at all only the hair and coat it is like different men playing Dante. so take your pick and I am sure Dante would not want to be your messiah given how your acting but hey then again you seem not to really know him.
You know what I am pissed at Capcom for, they did not do the series story right nothing made sense it had plot holes like whoa and Dante was not even the same in any of the games I mean really..wth, so when people say this is not the real Dante remember that Dante was not the same in each darn game so pick which Dante is the real Dante from one of the games then we will talk.lol

Maybe so, but they didn't actively insult the gamer's intelligence and not to mention it was not to be taken seriously. Because dialogue and writing consisting of "fuck you" and other childish swearing is vastly superior right?

I know the writing wasn't stellar but that was mainly because some of the lines didn't carry over well from Japanese to English. This one is written in English and Dante's dialogue makes him seem really immature. See, when the original Dante gives a one liner, there's a certain coolness to it. The new one just seems like he's ,i>trying to be cool but failing utterly.
And don't tell me not to judge a game based on he demo, that's what it's there for.
I'd say he's pretty consistent between 3&4. And at least the universe was consistent between the first 4 games.
I'll still be renting the full game and doing a full review of it though.

DMC3 was the origin story, this is a simple reboot and a completely different character.
I plan on giving the game a chance, but in no way is this guy the Dante who is considered an iconic character to many.
