Janet takes her job very seriously. She does make jokes, puns especially, to create a friendly atmosphere to allow her patients to more easily open up to her. Original Bio
Name: Janet Clark
Date of Birth: May 23rd
Age: 35
Nationality: American
Place of Birth: Bismarck, North Dakota, United States of America
Family: Unknown
Occupation: Therapist
Origin:
While studying Psychology in college, Janet participated in a study attempting to uncover psychic powers within the human mind. As part of the study, Janet allowed herself to be hypnotised and given various suggestions. One of these suggestions triggered something within Janet and awakened her latent psychic power in the form of a hypnotic gaze. She unwittingly hypnotised her colleagues in the study into promising to keep her power a secret in return for her continuing to assist in the study. Further results were minimal.
Years later, after opening her own therapy practice Janet found herself visited by the superheroine Lady Liberty. Lady Liberty, having completely lost her civilian identity after her skin turned to copper, was having something of a breakdown. Janet arranged a number of sessions with Lady Liberty before the two decided to begin hypnotherapy. Upon discovering Janet's power, the heroine, grateful for everything she had done, asked her to act as therapist for the entire Union of Justice. Seeing a great use for her abilities, Janet agreed and the Union of Justice gained a new member in the form of Ms. Merize.

I wouldn't have made another hypnosis-themed character if not for the name I came up with, which I thought was really good. The plan was for her to be an actual super hero with more of a therapist design to be the order to Hypno-Sis' stage hypnosis chaos. But my buddy Matt suggested the idea of her being the team's therapist who chips in if the situation calls for it. He's also the one who suggested Lady Liberty as the member of the team who discovers her when I asked for one. The origin of her power was suggested by my other buddy Max. Thanks, guys.

This would be the first time I've seen someone with hypnotic powers as a good guy ... or a good girl to be fair.

greatly depends on how they are used, frankly over the years several mainstream comic book heroes have had some level of hypnosis but dont use it cos to modern readers it comes off as really creepy. (the shadow is a heavy acception as he is all about illusions and sensory control)
