No, no. You misunderstand. I've already completed the assignment a year ago. That class has already been completed.
I'm also well aware of what cloppers are.

LOL! This was totally me for a long time!
But it took me the longest time to choose my favorite pony. It was between Celestia and Luna. I chose Celestia in the end. Mostly because of her gigantic heart. But also because she's beautiful. Also I feel like too many people choose Luna out of sympathy, because she was banished to the moon. But not enough people show Celestia any sympathy. I mean she had to send her sister to the moon! I know she puts on a tough exterior, but as a political figurehead, you need to. That doesn't mean she felt nothing when she bannished Luna.
What made it the hardest was that I have always loved the night, decades before Friendship is magic even came out. Heck, it's nearing 3A.M. where I'm at right now! It's when I do my best work. And I love gazing at the stars, especially when in the mountains. People in the big cities almost never get a chance to see the night sky without all the light pollution. It is truely spectacular and beautiful. There are so many stars it's litterally dizzying to stare up at them while standing. And to see the milky way, like a blanket of light. And to realize that it's litterally tens of millions of tiny stars close together, hanging in the sky millions of lightyears away? Well it makes you realize just how tiny you really are.
Another thing, is I understand how Luna feels now. Because I too became a nightmare in a way. I saw true darkness and evil, and almost became it. What I saw, I would not wish on my worst enemies. And now looking back, I wonder if the people that did see the darkness in me, are still afraid. If they always will be, and if they could ever forgive me. And the worst, is wondering if I can even forgive myself.
Despite having a lot in comon with Luna, I still don't feel like I really know her just yet. Not enough episodes have aired yet, that display her character, for me to really get a grasp on her personality. I hope that changes in the future. Because I'd like to get to know her better.

Stage 1: This show that my 15 year-old sister watches and that the internet seems to be going crazy about has a really freaking awesome soundtrack!
Stage 2: Screw I'm watching some episodes.
Stage 3: Awesome, I'm sold.
Stage 4: Buy All the t-shirts/merch.
Stage 5: Community content and lots of it.
Stage 6: Drag myself out of bed on Saturday mornings to watch episodes during their original airing.
Stage 7: 90% of the songs I write now originate conceptually from a MLP theme (though that may not or may not be obvious in the finished product).

This fandom has given us so much stuff to enjoy so many things to laugh at but if that's your opinion.
Yes, they do, I think we are all aware of that, some female fans may consider themselves pegasisters or they just call themselves bronies as well. But you could always just enjoy the show and call yourself, well, nothing I guess.

Sorry for my late reply, I really don't use deviantart very often (or I just forget to check my inbox).
It's okay, I watch the show because it's an awesome show but I also love the fandom, and I'm not sure if it has become my life. I mean everything that has something to do with ponies just fills me with joy for some reason, I'd be dumb if I wouldn't spend a lot of time doing the things I love, am I right?
I guess it sort of does make sense, I just feel like more pony = more fun for some reason, which is why I can't stop.

I honestly just accepted it after watching my first episode (Ticket Master was my first). Now I listen to heavy metal while admiring pony art.

My story: On youtube: ANGER! What's with all these ****ing ponies all over the related videos? Watches a few joke videos entitled "Stop clopping to ponies" which has a few seconds out of context that make them seem sexual. Is slightly amused. Slowly begins to watch those one or two second episode quote videos. Finds a video of "Squeaky Belle" clips. DIES of cuteness! Wants to see if Sweetie Belle and Rarity make up so finally watched an episode: Sisterhooves Social.
And then I was lost and began to watch more episodes. Hooray! After that I hit the fandom hangouts like MLPforums, deviantart, etc. And that's when I made my first fanfic about SCootaloo learning to fly and racing against Rainbow Dash that hit about 60,000 words.
Now I'm a decently popular fanfic writer so I get to share my own "art" with other fans.
I love this fandom! I know there are the ones who treat others like jerks and go agaisnt the show theme but I ignore those.
Best pony for me is Pinkie. She always makes me laugh, both in canon and fanon. Scootaloo is best crusader and the inspiration for my very first fanfic. Luna is best Princess because she's entertaining and funny, and Derpy is best background pony because she is also hilarious in comics.
