I've played through Fallout 4 to the point I did everything, got at least one of every weapon, hundreds of pieces of armor, including full sets of every version of power armor, own every settlement in the Commonwealth, have every single faction wrapped around my fingers, and got every single companion in the game so far. All that's left is to unlock and max out every perk, and play through the next DLCs that are made.
I'm really loving this game.

In complete honesty, the only reason I'm even capable of doing this is because I use god-mode. When playing games with the option to cheat, and the massive ease with which to die, I use hacks every time.
Don't care if you rag on me for being honest about that, just wanted to get it out to somebody. I'm not a masochist.
The massive increase in Legendary spawn rate that comes from Survival is a bonus, though.

Blew up the institute without sending an evac signal. Essentially, killing hundreds of potentially innocent scientists, which doesn't sit well with white knight Preston.

Don't understand it neather, i like the memes about him but i find him less annoying than other useless companions like Deacon, Piper (i hate when she calls me blue ._. and for me her voice is so annoying) or Cait (i guess the overrating over this character is what kills it).
And he's cute, so i only follow the silly memes, but not the hate.

Well, he is considered The Scrappy (read TV Tropes for more on that) among players due to him always telling you to go help and/or secure a Settlement. That, or "at least it's not raining". And lest we forget: "Babe."

I don't hate Preston unlike everyone else. He's kinda uninteresting, but, then again, there aren't many Fallout 4 companions I dislike. (Danse, X6-88 and Strong aren't my favorites. I'll leave it at that.)
He's pretty good in combat, and United We Stand is pretty cool since most enemies you face are in groups of 3 or more. But, well, that's the way it is.
If you like this guy, more power to you. Like I said, I don't hate Garvey like most players, he's just sorta there.
