I saw that movie the day it came out. I think it was pretty faithful to the anime, and it was quite the mindf*ck overall. However, the city skyline could've been toned down a bit (I get it, we're in the future, no need to superimpose all these giant holograms all over the city) and I was a bit disappointed that Batou wasn't driving the Lancia Stratos he did in the anime. But it was still an overall good film.
