for paper, sketch in pencil, draw over the lines that you want to keep with pen, then erase the pencil marks.

If you get carried away with the pen you can remove the pen marks by cutting the paper in half, (Yes actually slice the paper's thickness in half removing the top with ink on it)
I saw a chines girl at work do this once, I only noticed it cus I held the paper up to the light and could see that the paper was thinner in one spot.

Dear Princess Celestia, today I learned a very important lesson that you should wear underwear when encountering with people "face to butt".
Anyway, cool tutorial. It's also good to use stabilizer (Paint Tool SAI) or if you use photoshop, there is Lazy Nezumi. It makes your lines more smooth and steadier, so your sketches looks better and more refined without much additional effort.
New cintiq in january... well, back to paper and pencil like everyday now and then.
