Cute idea but the delivery was clumsy. It lacked motion and energy: For example, was Spike just standing in the middle of the room? Pacing back and forth? Why did Twily have to spend two panels calling for Spike instead of hearing him muttering while passing by or something? Where was the letter all along? Why wasn't Spike holding it while thinking about what to say to Twily? And the last but maybe my biggest problem: Why did Spike's speech bubble have to push into the previous panel? That one really made me cringe.
This was a cute comic, but it was very static and badly timed. Could have been a lot better.

Spike is leaning slightly forward, indicating that he is walking, probably pacing through the room just like Twilight when she's deep in her thoughts. If you actually LOOK at the panels, you can see that Twilight was on the first floor and that she used the stairs to the second floor. Spike's speech bubble pushed through a panel to indicate that Twilight heard him from downstairs. That's why she climbed the stairs to go look for him. Now, for the letter... I got nothing.
So, anyway, you should read more mangas or BDs or whatever. You'r, like, the only one you didn't understand that.

why have those monsters never done this? the best they did for spike was make him get small bits of affection from rarity, and even then he's nothing more then a toy to them, a play thing, and twilight hasn't shown any love to him for a damn long time, I'm curious to why he is still with them, he has no reason to be with them

You mean like when Twilight Rarity and RD risked their lives to secretly follow him on a journey with a bunch of dragons to make sure he'd be fine? Or AJ saved him from timber wolves? Or when Twilight supported the dragon emotionally and helped him in any way she could in the recent Equestria Games?
The way I see it Spike is like a kid in a group of adults. Sometimes in many situations adults can be a bit dismissive and lack patience. But when Spike is genuinely feeling down, Twilight and friends will try to help and cheer him up. When he teases or acts irresponsible, they forgive because they know he's just being a kid.
And they all care about him like family, at least enough to put their own lives in danger if needed.

still, I feel since faust left the team they haven't really cared that much about him, they only really do anything when he is down, they don't start things with him and when he tried with them they shoot him down

Well, I thought last season we had two of the nicest Spike-centric episodes to date (inspiration manifestation and equestria games). Two episodes that portrayed Spike as a genuine character with genuine valid feelings and bonds, and the latter absolutely showed Twilight as caring towards him.
Since early in the show Spike's character has been an easy target for jokes because he's a kid, and I agree that's gotten kinda old, but it seems the writers may be slowly moving away from that. I hope it's the case, and that we'll see Spike shine even more next season than the last one.

The show has more drama and boldness now than it did before, because the writers have more freedom then they did when it started. Things like the season 4 finale (wether you love it or not) would never have flown early on.
