PNG: 512px, 256px
ICO: 192px <-> 32px
ICNS: 512px <-> 16px
This is technically my first icon! I made it for a friend who is an avid Minecraft player. Desktop replacement icons for such games seem to be highly desired.
I decided to make a dock icon because of the freedom with detail and quality. Most dock icons are basically just PNGs. The ico and icns packs contain the mentioned sizes, but they're really just scaled down from 512px. Apologies! As I get better with making icons I will begin to make smaller sizes independently.

True story. But, honestly, I do agree. It's been bugging me since I made it, but it was a time saver. And now with so many downloads, going on 8000 here, and many more on sites the web over that have stolen it, making the change now seems way too little too late.

Well, you could make the change and release the resulting icon as a v2. That would not disrupt the "continuity" of this deviation, make people like me (and you) very happy, and give you a new deviation with tons of new downloads and favs.
But nonetheless, gorgeous work! Definitely using this!

Love the icon! But for some reason my mac won't display it (it just changes the icon to a paper with a viewer image in the middle) unless I shrink it down. ): Anyone else have this problem?

Unfortunately, this is the first I've heard of this. I couldn't verify the condition of the Mac icons, as I used a converter and essentially just trusted it. I'll have to test this with a few people to find out more.
p.s. If convert from the ICO or PNG into an icon that works for you, let me know what method you used.

If I remember right, I used photoshop and shrank the PNG image down a bit, then ran it through the icon program that comes with the developer tools pack in the mac app store and it worked.
I also figured out it was Mac OSX Lion that was causing the old way of setting icons to not work properly. I found that if I opened it in Preview, I could copy and past the image into the Application info window and it worked. (In case any other lion users had my problem)
Thanks for responding! Your icon is fantastic, and I'm so happy to be able to use it!

If the download is broken, it's a DA issue. Might have to just wait it out.

This is just a replacement icon to be used on your computer in place of the default icon for accessing Minecraft, so how you change it would depend on your OS and if the icon is just on your desktop or part of an icon dock. It wasn't meant to be used inside of the game. Apologies for any confusion.

I don't know Minecraft, but I like the icon! Very nice.
Since you've already done all the preliminary work, how about a Minecraft Dock?
Grassy top, dirt front and some sort of glowing running application indicator thingie embedded in the dirt?

Great job! I just might have to use this on my desktop... if I ever find the time to get back into MC.

It's among these: [link] - plenty of similar fonts for similarly styled projects.
