That would be kinda odd, officially. 
In my world, where people can transform into a Pokémorph of their choosing, that ultra beast would probably be Lusamine's morph form.

I wouldn't call it too odd. It definitely felt like the advertising team was teasing us with the idea at least, haha.
... It'd be odd if they had that element and the ability to catch them, though xD I didn't believe UBs could be caught until data miners found the beast balls.

Well it's a more of a recent thing with the Morph of stuff and not everyone can nor want to even if they have the ability. 
Wait, about the UBs: They can't be caught with normal Pokéballs? (I just watched my brother beat Moon and I just need to get around to storming the Aether Foundation in my own game)

Yeah, regular pokeballs don't work on them, so in the postgame you go back to the Aether Foundation and they give you a newly engineered ball called beast balls. You get about 10 of them for every mission in the postgame :3

Oh, I'm not sure if you wanted to know but, I finally found someone who made a complaint about Lusamine just using her Pokémon after fusing with Nihilego instead of using the power to their fullest. It's an animatic www.youtube.com/watch?v=9urRML… They even kind of used your concept a little bit as a small joke about Lillie doing something with them as well.
