The events of Vagabond Plot 806 (And Then There Was One) have left Shep questioning a lot of things, but most especially himself. Now he knows that his and the other kirins' return was no strange accident of the cosmos, that Ignacio and Kaia themselves molded new bodies for lost souls like him and gave them back to the world. Shep has come across a few of his people making better lives for themselves-- kirins who have made good on 'Again But Better,' the secret oath their rebirth was built upon. But then there's the monsters like Soleil and her genocidal army. Which is awful and horrifying, yes, but then there's kirins like... him.

Someone who hasn't done jack sh-t with his second chance at life.

For a while he felt like he'd had something, at least. Taisto and Ronja had given him a home, and in doing so had given him a sense of family and belonging. A sense of purpose. Then the king somehow found him, called out to his mind and unlocked his memories, and after Taisto helped him seal the painful echoes of his former life away, Hatshepsut chose to leave Onea altogether. What if Soleil started to search for kirins beyond Eithne? What if he attracted the wrong kind of attention to his new family? He couldn't take that chance. He'd never forgive himself if something happened to the old couple.

So he left them to aimlessly wander about Hireath and all he's done is become some bum who lives on random jobs and the occasional kindness of a stranger. And from the visions that Digend had imparted onto him and his companions, Shep now knows that he was definitely... someone. Before. ...He had a sword. He was a soldier. He and others led charges against so many enemy lines. He was someone great and magnificent and you know? That just makes things even worse.

Because he has done nothing to amend the terrible monster he used to be. And he would like to change that. He would like to do something with himself, something other than wasting away out here. Something worthy of Ignacio and Kaia's gift.

But... what?

Damn it has been... a while since I uploaded anything here I'm sorry. My art block kinda tanked when it came to my tablet and I've been doing a ton of doodles in the sketchbook I take with me to work, but haven't sat down to scan anything so I have nothing to show for the time I spent away :c I'm sorry about that.

It was nice getting back into this kind of thing, though. The mood hit me and I just rolled with it and didn't ask questions because it had been too long since I'd felt the urge to touch my tablet a;lsdkfjflf
