WARNING! Unauthorized redistribution, copying, or editing of this image is against the law! This image and all the intellectual property I have created for Infinity Quest IS COPY-WRITTEN. I have been working on Infinity Quest for seven years and I WILL take Art Thieves to court.To all my friends and would be commenters I do apologize for the threatening sounding disclaimer, but I really want to ward off would-be art thieves. As much as I hate to say it about our wonderful website here it does have a few notorious and unscrupulous characters.
Okay guys, here's one of my more out there concepts/designs for Infinity Quest. Check out the bio and let my know what you guys think ^^

Bio;
Body modification has always been a popular aspect in not only human history, but in fact many cultures. The boundaries of how extensively one could modify their body have only increased only time. Currently there are several popular/well known forms of Body Modification that are actively used; Practi-Mods (Practical Mods like increased sight, enhanced strength, ect ect), Ani-Mods (Animal style Mods like cat ears, claws, tails, think if Fur suiters from now a days could actually modify their bodies to look like anthro animals if they chose to go that far), Psi-Mods (Mods that expand the powers and boundaries of ones mind to a point of being able to manipulate their environment with their mind, Beast Modding (which is illegal and turns the user into a large aggressive beast), and Cyber Modding (implanting one's body with Cybernetics)
Cyber Modding, like all Modding, can be as severe or minor as the Modder wants. They can weave cybernetics into their body so tightly that the boundaries between organic and machine cease to exist or simply overlay certain parts of their body with machinery that amplifies their natural abilities and/or allows them to interact with other machinery using their minds as computers. The image above would be a halfway point between minor and severe, the Mods are deeply integrated within the body and allow the user direct interaction between machinery while still allowing them to maintain an overall organic structure while at the same time sporting brain Mods allowing them the calm logic and deductive powers of a computer.
As with most Modding; such things like color, appearance, purpose, and placement are left totally up to the User and how much they are willing to spend. Mod Masters or Mod Producers who are skilled enough can usually create whatever form dwells within the buyers mind with little more than time and an inflated price. Out of most of the Modding trends with most races, Cyber Modding is one of the more popular.

Nice, this deals with the whole transhuman revolution thing. So what kind of social stuff is going on in this setting. Are modders seen as 'true' humans?

For the most part yes. As you can imagine there's always that one person or small group of people who are generally unpleasant and use any excuse and difference in appearance to start problems. But for the most part Modders are generally well accepted; except for Beast Modders for several reasons.

You mentioned those. Interesting. Are they allowed in the military? Does the military do any modding?

Certain militaries do, it really depends on the race. For human's it's pretty accepted. In fact most of the human police force uses mods. Other armies like the Arik would find the very concept of using a Mod of any form weak and an insult.
But it's funny you should mention the military as Beast modding was originally designed by an alien race to serve as Military Mods, but it failed horribly. Beast Modders (forgive me for drifting back to this topic) are borderline feral and act as a pack, ignoring other orders, and are very violent. The race attempted erase their mistake but someone leaked the information and then back alley mod makers started cooking up Beast mods and it spread like wild fire.

Once information has been found it's hard to close that door. People like Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark would do well to understand that.

wow, fascinating side story, and very interesting character. I like the little tentacles things. I like how this isn't actually a race or anything, it's just modification.
yeah, maybe I should put a disclaimer on some of my stuff, but have never bothered!

Thank you very much Doc ^^ It always makes me happy when you enjoy my work
I personally don't like tacking such an ugly disclaimer to my work because I'm worried it scares away would be commenters. But after 7 years of working on Infinity Quest I just don't want to chance someone trying to pull anything funny.

Fair enough! I know some people put the DA logo through their pics, and frankly it destroys the pic lol. So am glad you didn't do that to your pics
