Hello and welcome back to another episode of "Artrix draws a pic on his way to work/home and colors it and posts it on DA"ANYway *ahem*, I've noticed that the amount of Danny Phantom pictures being drawn within the FOP community has been increasing at an exponential rate.... So I jumped the bandwagon and drew Sam (who seems to be popular among the FOP fans).
BUT... at the beginning I was also very confused, you see, each time I saw a pic titled "Sam piccie
" (or something like that) I thought: "Hey, this is about Sam from Sam and Max". I mean, in my weird brain's database says that the name "Sam" has the parameter "genger" set to "male", I mean, I don't know any female Sams (except Sam from Totally Spies, but she's easy to forget). Until now *UPDATE `names` SET `genger`='both' WHERE `name`='Sam';*Sooo, basicly we have Sam and Sam meeting eachother, both being weirded out by eachother's apearances.
I should stop talking now...

After all these years I realize that it was a bad choice of words. Here's a copy pasta of what I said in response to a similar question:
"It's kinda hard to see, but I draw WYSIWYG when I'm killing my time in the boring train. Which means that I tend to color dark spots. Sam's kinda... dark. So that's because my pencil has a hard time drawing all that... okay, it's my actually hand that moves the pencil, not the pencil itself... and it can't think for itself...

Very cool I love both shows mostly the Sam and Max one, but none the less both characters on the screen before me show nothing but love for the characters and respect for the show and the face of each one makes me laugh a little more with each show~!

I'm loving this piece as well..By the way do you remember "Grim Fandango" and that tentacle game?
They were good..but Grim kicked arse!!

Grim Fandango was awesome. I even used to draw GF comics. I think they're still online... somewhere.
And Maniac Mansion: Day Of The Tentacle , although at first sight a great dissapointment towards Sam and Max: Hit the road, it's a very clever game. Took me some real brainpower to beat too.
And let's not the TV- series, their quotes are unforgettable.

Haha, I remember Sam and Max, but it's been ages since I saw that cartoon. Great job! I sort of get the joke, but only the part of Sam and Sam being their first name. That's it.
I think what I like the most is how you colored over your sketches and didn't try and darken the outlines. I dunno, just appeals to me.

Y'know, I'm supprised at how many people are commenting Sam (from SnM) instead of Sam(antha from DP).
But I agree on all of you. Sam and Max: Hit the road totally rocked. I never got a decent chance to see the cartoon, or read the comic books (I whish for a new SnM comicbook). Maybe my hunger for Sam and Max can be ended if Lucas Arts would stop being annoying and continue working on the 2nd SnM game |:\
