Description
After Courtney and Ducan, I asked the Total Drama Island community what other characters they wanted me to draw, with some obvious and less-obvious results. I present to you my revisit to the TDI franchise.I guess there's a little something for everyone. I'm surprised that no one requested Heather, but she's here anyway, and Chris, for good measure. I'm not sure if anyone asked for Linsday, but she's there because Heather's there.
Gwen and Trent were particularly interesting to draw, and I took a lot of liberty to add all kinds of belts to Gwen's very vaguely defined goth-ish outfit. Oh, and Izzy, needs no introduction. And while I'm at it, Noah's there because he's awesome because he doesn't care.
With a quick background slapped behind it, it seems finished. Now let's move on to the next victim: Superjail!

OK. You just left me dumbfounded. As some comments said, "Some toons, should remain tooned" I should say, I kinda agree. Though your style is amazing, it just looks strange to me seeing it in some other way. Honestly, it's amazing. I only agree because Chris kinda creeps me out. Though the color, shadind, background is truly extraordinary. I love this work in many different ways and it's awesome. Though my 'Chris kinda creeps me out' is not meant to hurt your feelings. Since this is your first critique, may I give you a few pointers.
Your critique seems to mainly focus on "Chris looks creepy", and "some cartoons should remain tooned", briefly touching the actual picture in the middle. Also, I'm not at all hurt by opinions, especially since I made this years ago. Good artists can take criticism.
Also, you're quite generous with the stars with very little to back it up. Sure, I like stars, but it does little in terms of pointing out strengths and weaknesses. Five stars implies perfection, so I use such ratings very sparingly when rating things myself.

This is an expertly drawn, beautifully colored and shaded piece of work. The artist's interpretations of a less detailed art form enhance the overall quality of the character. The poses and expressions convey a deep understanding of each character. Any liberty that the artist takes with the clothing of the character does not detract, but in fact accentuates the character's overall aesthetic. The expressions are utterly priceless. All in all, this is an amazing piece of work by an artist who obviously understands their own style and how to adapt original characters into it. This is, quite frankly, utterly smashing work.

There is a distinct lak of Cody (next time?) Noah is priceless, yeah, he's just there, whatever, perfect!
I like your unique style that you've brought to the picture without losing any character traits that make them who they are. That can be difficult to pull off and you nailed it.

En dit is nog steeds een van mijn persoonlijk favorieten als het op de "Artrix's take on" serie aan komt. Als voor TDI; het was een geinige serie, niet baanbrekend, maar erg geinig (Nederlandse dub doet, zoals gewoonlijk, ver onder het origineel).
Er we moeten meer variatie hebben in art over het algemeen, de trend lijkt te zijn "hoe minder neus, hoe beter". Inb4 anime kawaii ugu~.

ja ik zag de serie eerst in het Nederlands maar die ging mij te sloom dus keek ik het in het engels verder tot het eind aan toe en dat is idd veel beter. persoonlijk vond ik de liedjes in het laatste season echt super leuk en grappig maar ook heel goed bedacht en geschreven. het was idd een geinige serie.
haha ja dit zie je zo weinig echt jammer mensen denken dat het verpest is met een wat andere neus maar het geeft juist meer karakter aan het personage.

I like Gwen but i just dont like Trent,Why? Because in TDA he kept saying 9...It got on meh Gwen's nerve! I dont rlly support GxT but......I support DxG coz they r JUST the same!!! TDI they said what they liked and Evvvvvvvvvvvvverything...........I love the pic though! its VERY awsome!

Oh, it's just artistic renditions of a less detailed style in order to accent the flaws that a cartoon style would gloss over. Kind of a neo-realism thing, if you catch my drift.

While I know that my work graces the offices of quite a few studios, seeing it as the sole piece of fan art, filmed by one of the voice actors, is something really special.
