So...here's a thing. XD I bought RPG Maker MV (and 2003, but I'll use that one later ;v; ) last February on my 18th birthday with the 'happy-bday-here-adult-moolah-gift' from my parents haha and now, I finally got to release a finished game with it! Although it's just a test game, I made sure the dialogues and story (...or lack thereof? XD) made some sense somehow. I'll treat this as a practice for more serious full-length games to be made in the future. Nonetheless, if you choose to play it, I hope you'll have fun with it!

I'm not familiar with the scripts used in MV, but I do have a little background on buttons and events from my Adobe Flash actionscript 2.0 days.(rest in peace Flash, you will be missed ;-; ) That said, I'm still a beginner with this and feedback will be most appreciated. ;v; )/

I was planning on releasing two more of these tests (thus the '1/3' text near the sub title) but I'll be uploading the next ones in my and -senpai's official game creating account, . We won't be customizing anything for now and we'll stick to the resources within MV. Maybe on the third one we'll try using some plugins, but just the simple ones. I think it's important we stick to test games before completely jumping into full-length projects, also to familiarize myself with the software haha

I hope you'll look forward to them, and thanks for checking it out! Have a nice day ahead~

Wow this was great, I can't imagine what it takes to make a game. The other commenter basically summed up everything on my mind and I think this has a lot of potential to being a very entertaining experience.
I do have to apologise to those carrots though, and to the farmer. It was a fun trap haha

o h b o y you sure found this real fast : ' D

Ahh thank you very much for the feedback! ; v ; )/ I think anyone can make a game, especially now with more user-friendly softwares like the ones I use, but it does take a lot of effort and patience. Hopefully I have enough to spare for our projects haha
X'D 's alright, the farmer forgives ya. A lot of other people deliberately stepped on them more than you probably did haha

Thanks again for playing, we appreciate it ;w; )/ We'll do our best to make better games in the near future.

Hah I apologise for being a bit of a stalker going through all the things.

Ah that's good to hear, it's nice that there are softwares out there to help people who wants to make a game. I'm sure you'll find the patience if you're intent on working on it.

That farmer is great bait, i should say

Anyways i'm gonna give my thoughts about it now.

I think "Game" is another great way to showing form of art and storytelling. I've seen a lot of games who used RPG Maker, like Lisa The Painful and To The Moon. And i really liked the concept of it, how they making a story-rich game using it, even without any RPG aspect inside it. That's why i really liked this idea, it's like this is another form of art too!

I had fun playing this game, although it's so short (because it's just a test, obviously xD). It's pretty much entertaining to seeing all kind interaction and people inside it. It's pretty much like "just-for-giggle" kind of game, but i like it!

I'm not sure about which part that needs improvement, as i find it's pretty unique just the way it is. Also it's just a test, so i can't find what is it lacking. Well whatever the cons it is, i'm pretty sure you're gonna make up for it later

Overall it's looking good so far! I like it!

Well i'm looking forward for your next game! Also do you have any vision about what kind of game that you wanted to make with this RPG Maker? Like, it is story-rich game or choice-making game or just-adventure-and-all-for-giggle game or intense-RPG-battle game or else? I would like to hear what kind of game you wanted to making

X'D Ahh good to know

; V ; aww, thank you very much! I'm really happy you had fun with it despite being a short test haha I had a lot of fun making it too. It actually felt like I was playing a game while making a game. XD

Mm, most of my favorite games were made with RPG Maker, usually the Japanese Horror RPGs like Crooked Man, Forest of Drizzling Rain, etc. XD oh and bless, l love To The Moon ;v;

For now, I'll probably take a year or so with familiarizing myself with the software and release around 2 more test games with a step-up. The next test game is planned to be a typical RPG with some basic fighting elements as of now, and the last one would have something like a custom character creator for the players with a more complex battle system. That's about it for now in the planning stage haha

But for the more serious full-length games I'll be releasing here and in my other shared game account with a senpai, OTLGames , I think we want to explore as much different genres as possible! As of now, some of our projects in the works includes a heavy story of mystery-type of choice-making game, one that has the classic Battle-Adventure RPG theme, and I think my senpai's also planning on making Horror RPGs. As for me, I think my specialty really is the just-for-giggles type of games x'D But I'd love to and definitely will try out the other genres someday.

But really, thank you for the feedback! ; v ; )/ I appreciate it a lot.

And I'm so sorry for being chatty again orz

Ahh sure there's a lot of great games made with RPG Maker The potential of storytelling by using that engine is limitless, i should say. It's the simplest one, and fun to use too. Now everyone can make a game! although it's not that easy tho, it's like a traditional artist started learning on digital (:

I feel like with RPG Maker, a game is another form of canvas for art and story and music. In the good and artistic hand it could made something fantastic. Like Kan Gao and Laura Shigihara, the creators of To The Moon.

Nice plan, i like it Keep it flowing then!

No problem Aki! Also i hope you don't mind having this loudmouth newbie beta-tester on your upcoming projects

Haha indeed! Mm, video games as a storytelling medium is really interesting ;v; The interactivity and freedom of a player to make decisions to somehow create their own endings for the story is an amazing concept haha ahh true, then again, any trad artist can be a digi artist with time and effort >v<)9 I'm sure anyone can make games and stories with time and effort too, no matter how hard it may be!

'v')7 Yessir! Will do.
And hell naw, this long-winded chatty hikikomori welcomes all fellow loudmouths and chatterboxes all aboard in this RPG making journey! XD
