I'm moving onwards a little with the main story arc now. This Page is the first of 4 in a new mini arc (Or maybe five, if I have to split one of the pages because it's taking too much time to draw). We're going back to Twilight now. Octavia and Vinyl are going to be having a reset for maybe 10 pages or so.
I'm getting a little better at drawing comics now, and I'm drawing them a little faster too, so I'm now trying to put more details in, and to give the pages a little more depth. So that they don't feel quite so two dimensional.

that reminds me of a gag in a Fimfiction story: Applebloom was being punished for something by making her write "i will not (do whatever she did)" a hundred times...but she finished sooner than expected, because she had had LOTS OF PRACTICE writing...

Honestly, I think that's be how everypony would be taught to write in pony school. How else do you hold a writing implement without magic? And it could be that unicorns can't control their magic with enough precision to write with until after they learn to read and write the normal way. (Any and all claims made here are part of my own headcannon. Nothing is to be taken seriously.)
Really though, even if it's more comfortable for Twilight to write with her mouth in EG that doesn't mean her handwriting (mouthwriting?) is any good since it's never even mentioned.

Well, yes, Sweetie belle writes with her mouth, but I think that Twilight wouldn't have done it for several years, so she's out of practice.

They're not hearts, she just happens to be very consistent in her inability to hold a pen stable enough for a clean dot.

that looks like my handwriting back when i still had to use pencils in gradeschool, not that using pens made it better, hell, i write worse now, and there is no fast or easy way to fix mistakes made in ink, but the memories of smudged graphite on paper and the side of my hand will stay with me forever

I personally appreciate the whole "Meanwhile..." breakaways from time to time - while I'm left with the impression that you don't (just picking up that vibe for some reason)

Propably because this supposed to be Twilight's story, not background characters. Pinkie going Gollum on Twilight, and its aftermath, was funny 30 pages ago. Maybe because i havent read Cupcakes( and its own sub-jenre), but i dont bye ponies going serial killer crazy. Same thing with Rainbow Factory( which i also havent read), and thats what that subplot is going to i think. Pinkie already has th Hannibel Lector look going at the asylum. But thats just me. Nothing against the whole comic.

Oh, well with that in mind then NOW I can see where you're coming from. I don't buy into that "ponies going serial killer crazy" either; although I do understand why Pinkie is the way she is . If you watch "Cutie Mark Chronicles" and "Party of One" back to back and you'll see Pinkie isn't as happy-go-lucky as she seems to be (but that's more fear than rage). However some authors consider crazy to be crazy and go from there.
