The sight rail and sight rail mounting hardware look cobbled together, the bevel in the trigger well looks like it was done with a hand wood planer and the fore grip looks like a seal that was just clubbed.
I enjoy your work, but if I had to pick up and FN200o, I'd have to take up the original.

Awesomeness what software do you use and how long did it take toal?

The model was build with Blender 2.48, then brought into 3Ds Max 2010 for rendering. Total was around 11 hours from start to finish

I've never really modelled anything 3D in my life, but I love animating and in a few months I will get 3Ds Max.
..cos I've never had any previous modelling experience, will it take a long time to get used to and learn how to use?

No longer than it takes to learn driving or playing an instrument. Though try to model something you like, it's 10x easier to learn if its fun
