1. figure out what colours are good to use when shading. For example, I put on a layer of purple underneath the dark areas of where I'm going to colour red. Or blue if I'm going for a different atmosphere. I tend to layer the darker layer of colourΒ first, because otherwise it looks messy.
2. press hard. it'll deplete your pencil crayons instantly, but otherwise there's tons of gaps and it looks really lazy.
3. When pressing lighter (for lighting purposes) colour more slowly. It makes it look rushed if you go too fast.
