Description
My attempt at recreating a very cool deviation by which you can see here: [link]His was made with C4D and Global Illumination
Mine was made with Blender 2.58 without GI
I nearly got it. The balls are all part of a fluid particle system.

Looks great. I like the colours and the blur is nice to. Did you use nodes?

Yes I did use the nodes You should check the original out though. It's much more eye catching IMO.

You cant beat nodes. Compositing is fast becoming my favorite aspect of Blendering. I have checked out the original and I like both. Both slightly different but equally interesting.

I know! My renders have improved so much since the compositor was introduced.

Im not familiar with Blender but you did a pretty good job, with the right angle, some color correction and some more tweaking - it would be the same.
And i see you got Depth of Feild, but the front balls, the ones in the air, im not quiet shore, is that Motion Blur, that would be interesting (now i have a new idea to play with).
Thanks for appreciating my work

Glad you approve. It's not motion blur at the front. It's just a failure of the DoF feature in blender's compositor. Motion blur would be very very easy to set up though. I've done another version of the image using Blender's (still under development) Cycles render engine.

Thanks No, it's not motion blur although that would be very very easy to set up. It's simply failed DoF. I have another render going using a special build of Blender which has genuine GI and DoF. I'll post it tomorrow.
