this is great. there was a French illustrator from the mid 1800's who also made a series of sculpted caricatures of French MP's that were not unlike your sculpture. I don't remember how he colored them or what with though.
It looks like you used competing oxides on the face. Iron oxide and something else. Cobalt maybe? is that what you did? Just curious

This was a while back I really don't remember. I change up the process for almost every piece just a little bit.

Most of the new pieces have a very watered down gloss applied. It's a very subtle sheen.
