This is so cool! Β You could do one based of a Cassowary.

This is good though I would remove/lessen the gizzard and take away or lessen the plume and swap it out for harpy eagle feathers

thanks i think the gizzard looks fine, harpy feathers would be interesting however this is meant to look more like a chicken,

True though I would elongate the torso a bit and maybe change the legs, but this would be good enough for me.

I'm pretty stoked that we'll be able to see one of these things in the next few years

I am not, the Isla Nublar incident could happen for real...This is like one of the worst things Horner has wanted to do.

No it wouldn't, a chicken is still a small dull animal. Adding teeth and claws won't change that. Just because it looks like raptor wouldn't suddenly turn it into a fearsome apex predator. Jurrasic Park is a great franchise, but it uses dinosaurs as monsters.

No they don't, and I still think it's a bad idea. Even if they don't kill people, it is still wrong to mod life.. Leave life alone.

Ah, that's what you meant by Isla Nublar. I guess that debate's another can of worms.
Life will find a way.

Keep in mind, it's still the size of a chicken. Β Although chickens can be quite intimidating, even without teeth and claws, they won't be killing anyone.

quick give it seed!!! lol joking i think a chickin sized dromeosaur like bird will just eat small animals and invertebrates, if it was the size of a horse or something then we can hide xD

Over a couple dozen generations we could probably breed it significantly larger, nothing like the horse sized Jurassic Park velociraptor though.

i don't know to much about the experiment but i think it will be more like artificial insemination rather then Jurassic park

oh, I was actually referencing the old legend that if a toad sits on an egg laid by a fifteen year old cockerel, the resulting hatchling will become a cockatrice
this totally reminds me of a real life cockatrice

I think Jack Horner wanted to go even one step further "back" by making the chicken scaly.

I-Phillip In reply to RickRaptor105 [2015-06-24 17:46:14 +0000 UTC]
Dromaeosaurs likely had little to no scales, so I doubt there are any plans for scales.
