Description
As promised in a previous journal entry, here are some more screenshots of Cosmic Rush 2.0.
So far it seems to be doing pretty well. I still have no promises on when it will be released, but I'm really hoping to have it finished before 2011 (don't quote me on that if it's not released in time please XD).
I still worry of the lag that I'm pretty certain a lot of you will experience during the game, but it occurs to me that at this point there's nothing I can do. All I can really do is tell you to play it on a really good computer with a fast connection, then hopefully you won't experience the lag too badly.

lmao. XD I guess you could say that. Wasn't completely intended, as the trophies have a different purpose. I was originally going to make them emblems (which would all look the same), which I figured wouldn't be as rewarding to look for them all. As trophies they all have a different icon representing something else, making it feel more rewarding when you find a new one.

You've got a great head for game design. The rest animation is a nice touch, and It'll be fun collecting all the little trophies. If this plays anything like Tails' Nightmare, I'm sure the challenge will be at the right level as well. Can't wait to play!

Yeah, the gameplay is similar to Tails' Nightmare, though it should be a bit more fluid and easier to control (that is if it doesn't decide to lag). There will also be more room to run (as opposed to dodge all those spikes in Tails' Nightmare), so hopefully the players will be able to enjoy a bit of freedom to run faster.

Mecha Sonic actually was an easy fight. This Metallix boss fight seems....fun. Just one question.

What joy2key does is replaces keyboard commands with joypad/controller commands. First Google joy2key and download the program. I'm not sure if installation is required, but once you've got the program working, be sure your game controller is being read by the computer. Afterwards, joy2key should detect your controller. Learn what each of the buttons of your controller are and assign a button to the ones you'll use. For example, you could assign "button 0" to spacebar if something used spacebar.

Sorry, no. I don't know how to set it up that way, and I don't think Flash is capable of doing that. It uses the keyboard only. =/

How are you coding the game? Will it have Mac support via Flash?

I'm using Actionscript. I would think the game should work on a Mac. If you can play other Flash games/videos from the internet you should still be able to play mine no problem.
