Simply by being the most cheerful and supportive girl you’ll ever find, Jubileena is everyone’s favourite sister. She speaks in a high-pitched melodic voice that matches her personality and lets you know that she wants to be a friend you can count on. Her best friends are Adorabeezle and Minty, but her goal is befriend everyone in the arcade! Bursting with life’s perfect energy known as kindness, Jubileena is selfless and puts everyone’s needs above her own. She can be slightly overbearing with her chitter chatter and giggly fits, but it’s all because she enjoys the simplicity of life by seeing the beauty in the littlest of things. Every moment she values is captured with her favourite instant-bake camera to fill her scrapbooks of memories. Her only weaknesses are cherry pies, cherry tarts, cherry pie without the pie, cherry cookies, cherries from Pac-Man…you get the idea. She has a tendency of becoming too excited, but Adorabeezle will always be there to remind her to breathe. After all, you can’t take more pictures and fill more scrapbooks when you’re paralyzed. To top this sundae, Jubileena is also Sugar Rush’s resident shipper on deck. Your secret romance won’t stay a secret for long. She just knows.

I think the only challenge I face with Jubileena is being mindful to keep her different from Candlehead. Both characters are cheerful and loving, so how do you tell them apart? While Candlehead is the ditz, Jubi is smarter. She knows when to put her foot down if needed and can read the room a lot better. I tend to use largely her in scenes that require the characters to unite together so she can help them understand that functioning as slices of a whole pie is what works best for everyone. She’s the optimistic heart of the family who reminds us all that we need each other in order to see it through. Smurfy Grove has Smurfblossom. Sugar Rush has Jubileena.

Hopefully a little thing like this can do it some justice. Makes me wonder if we’ll ever see more scrapped Sugar Rusher renders out there!

It has been over a year since the last entry, but Chews Your Racer marches on with the highly requested Jubileena Bing-Bing! Hers is the 5th in the series, ironically matching her racing number from the movie. Notice that I like to draw her with shaggier bangs compared to the other racers with the similar haircut. Just a little way to make her stand out. Who should be next? Any racer is possible, and that includes Minty Sakura and the Palette Swaps. Let me know in the comments who you want to see next!
