Description Well, here it is finally. This is my cover for my upcoming story, "What Will it Take?" which I intend to write beginning this April 1st for Camp NaNoWriMo. This story will end up being the darkest and saddest one I've ever written (but don't assume you know what happens at the end!). It will also heavily incorporate a lot of biblical messages like my stories tend to do. This one will really emphasize the justice of God, and the saving gospel of grace. This story takes place in April of 1912.

WARNING!!!: Some details of the synopsis are very graphic!!! (I don't want to have to put a mature filter on this).

Some details:
Milton's son, Joseph (17), is guilty of committing a heinous crime. He is part of a gang that goes around and causes trouble around a the small town where he and his father, Milton (59), live. He managed to capture a member of a rival gang after a fight, and beheaded him in cold blood in the dead of night with an ax that he found to intimidate that gang. He gets captured by authorities, is tried, and found guilty, and is handed the death penalty. His punishment is set to be like the one he inflicted on his victim, but with a guillotine instead of an ax. While Milton is obviously furious that Joseph has done this abominable thing, he doesn't want to lose his only son (and Milton is also a widower, so Joseph is basically the only other person in his family now). Furthermore, Joseph is unsaved, and his death at this time would mean that he would be cast into hell and Milton would never see him again. Even though Milton isn't terribly book-smart and academic, he is able to convince the judge to allow Joseph one opportunity to pay a lesser sentence so he can live. However, Milton will have to pay a hefty fine for it, and he doesn't have the money to pay it. He has to therefore go far away to retrieve a rare and valuable item so he can trade it for the money he needs to save Joseph's life. That's as much as I will reveal for now, stay tuned for more later!

And before you write a comment stating this; yes, Joseph's mane is missing. He purposely had his mane shaven off in order to show off a wound he got from a fight that he won.

Oh, and I almost forgot this! Here is the theme for the story:

Fun fact: Diego and Milton are related. I'll reveal later how

oh my hamster, you never fail to blow my mind.
first of all,the picture: its amazingly fitting, especially with the dark and shady colors,i absolutely love how everything seems to fade into a chilling black nothing behind the guillotine, this and the hard and dark shading truly visualizes the theme ofthe story, and especially the seriousness and dangerousness of jospehΒ΄s situation. he looks so small and helpless beside his father, which shows their mindsets so well- joseph is feared and has no clue what to do with his life, while milton looks so protecting and sure of himself and his believes-but still horrifyied when he faces his sonΒ΄s possible fate. its a beautiful cover,art-wise and message-wise,and dude, that guillotine. its so freakin perfect in shape and 3D-ness,it looks so detailed-and im loving that cool but creepy 18th-century-vibe its giving me^^

now to the story-i have absolutely no idea where you get such awesome ideas from, but please, never stop having them.i cabt stop saying how much i love the plotline, its has everything a good plotline needs-excitement,danger,guilt and forgiveness, loyalty, wisdom, deep love and a dangerous and thrilling journey for the thing that will safe the life of someone the protagonist loves. i also love how its all about family-love, most people tend to choose romantic love for their stories...omh,and the two protagonists themselve (well,i just count joseph in,in the hope he might become a protagonist too at the end, truly feeling remorse for what he did and answering his fathers love) are wonderfull, especially because joseph is so real, believable and relatable,i mean, there a really thousands of teens like him out there who do horrible things just for impressing worthless gang leaders ,and milton is just overall awesome. im normally way more of a villain-lover,but you always make me fall for your good guys XD his loyalty, his bravery, his family sense, his righteousness, his stylish hat...what not to love about milton <3
hurrr, and i also love how you always bring deep and "adult-ish"/serious topics like crime, death (penalty),religion, responsibility and family into pokemon, without ruining all the cuteΒ΄n cuddiness of it. i mean, its still the adorable and funny fandom i love since im six,but in your works, its not just about some kids forcing lil monsters to fight against each other, but about the things we humans have to face during our live too,its wonderfull <3Β

There's a "camp" for Nanowrimo?

Yes, it's usually held every April and July.

Do you do the main one in November?

I have heard of NaNoWriMo, but not camp NaNoWriMo. Didn't even know that you can submit fanfics for NaNoWriMo.

You can write any genre for NaNoWriMo, as long as it's your own writing.

Okay. I say that because I noticed that the characters in the drawing look a lot like pokemon, so I was wondering if fanfictions were allowed.

Interesting. I have to say this is the first time I've seen a story in which a person receiving an intercession for their execution is blatantly guilty. Temporally, at least.
