Description
(Title is somewhat of a spoof of the name of the symphony I composed earlier this year that had a happier ending than this character's story.)

The following is a quick story about this character's backstory and how this Eevee became a poison type against her own will. I also don't draw angry expressions as much as I draw happy, and I think her anger here looks a little...underwhelming, especially given what was done to her. I'm open to any tips on how to make characters look angrier (I probably should've added more teeth?) This is also probably the darkest character I've ever created that isn't meant to be a villain. This was also inspired by an art trade I did a month ago where I drew a poison-type Eevee for someone, and I got comments suggesting that I make this a real thing. So...here it is!

One day, there was an Umbreon taking a walk with his ten year-old daughter on warm late-Spring day. He said that he was taking her somewhere, but didn’t say where. Little did she know, he had foul intentions with her.

“Where are we going?” She asked for the third time during their walk.

“I told you, Cheri, it will be a surprise, and I don’t want to spoil it.”

“Is it something fun?”

“We’ll see...” He replied with a smile.

When they reached a shaded area of the park, her father stopped and sat on a bench.

“We’re stopping here?” Cheri asked, confused, “this seems pretty boring.”

“I’m just stopping to rest for a few minutes, I promise we’ll continue soon.”

She sighed and sat beside him. “Alright.” They had only been walking for thirty minutes, so she thought he must have been very tired to take a rest already.

She then noticed a man walking in their direction, and Cheri’s father noticed him and perked up.

“Who is that?” Cheri asked him.

“I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about.” He answered, putting his paw around her in a hug.

The man then approached them directly, and Cheri began to feel uneasy about this. ”Why is he here?”

“Hi...is this...her?” He asks Cheri’s father.

Cheri’s eyes widened, frightened that some stranger would just approach her father like this and start talking about her in such a cryptic manner.

“Daddy? Why is he asking that?”

“Yes, this is her.” He replied, ignoring her question. He quickly snagged the back of her mane with his mouth so she couldn’t escape.

“Daddy! What are you doing?!” She cried, trying to escape. The man then took her out of his grasp and held her tightly; so tightly that she couldn’t even kick.

“The operation will be done by tonight. I will drop her off at your house afterwards.”

“Thanks, sound good.”

“DADDY!” She screamed as he walked away with her towards a black van. “Why are you doing this?!”

“You’ll thank me for this later! Goodbye, sweetie!” He called after her and started to walk back home.

Meanwhile, Cheri was taken to what appeared to be a lab, and she was bound by all her limbs, as well as her muzzle. She was laid on a table, and could only watch what was about to be done to her.

“It may not look like it, but you’re about to be a part of something exciting and monumental.” The man said to her as he was filling a needle with something. Cheri couldn’t respond in protest. She could still roll around, but the table she was on was four feet above the ground; a fall from that height would hurt immensely.

”What’s going on? Why is he doing this to me? Why did daddy let this happen to me?” She continued to cry, confounded and scared for her life.

“What I’m about to do to you is inject a special kind of poison into your veins that will alter your typing. Instead of remaining a Normal-type, it will convert you into a Poison-type. This sort of operation is unprecedented, and is rarely ever done due to health risks. However, there have been new developments in the field of medicine that have improved the outcome of this type of procedure. It might sound bad to you that I am injecting poison into you, but trust me, it isn’t as terrible as it sounds. Plus, you will be able to learn moves and abilities that other Eevees won’t be able to. Doesn’t that sound great?”

Cheri shook her head, hoping to communicate to him that she didn’t want this. Her father never told her about this, nor did he ever warn her that he was going to do this to her.

”Has he lost his mind?!” Cheri thought about her father with anger, ”When did I say I ever wanted this? When did I ever say that I wanted POISON put into me?”

“Well, it’s not like you have a choice; your father paid for this procedure a month ago, so I have to do this to you. Hold still so this won’t hurt you as much.”

Cheri had no choice but to obey; she couldn’t roll away and escape, so she had to suffer the operation. The man used one hand to hold her legs down in case she did try to get away. He held the needle just a bit above her stomach, which was the most sensative part of her body. An injection there would be excruciating. She also saw the poison in the needle, and how bright green it was. Seeing this filled her with a will to escape, even if she was going to fail. She tried to roll away, but the man’s hand was firmly planted on her legs.

“I told you not to move.” He warned her, but she continued to try. He gave her a moderate slap on the face to stop her, and it made her cringe. She stopped moving long enough for him to apply the poison were he needed to, and began injecting it into her abdominal cavity, just below her rib cage.

Cheri had never felt so much pain in her life, and if her muzzle weren’t bound, she would be screaming hysterically. She felt the poison as it began to course through her veins, and she began to feel sick very quickly. Before long, she lost consciousness.

That night...

Cheri woke up feeling sick, as though she had a fever. Thankfully, her bounds were loosed, so she could move her limbs about. She turned her head, and screamed when she noticed that she had turned green. She also felt that the mane around her neck had turned into goo, and that it was continuously dripping poison. She stood up and noticed the man sitting nearby.

“Ah, you’re awake. I’ll take you home now.”

“What did you do to me?!” She screamed at him, wanting to hurt him.

“I told you; I turned you into a Poison-type. I know it probably doesn’t feel good to you now, but I promise that you’ll love the benefits.”

“I look ugly, and I feel sick! How can I love this?!”

“You’ll just have to learn to get used to it. You’ll always look this way, and you’ll always feel sick because of the poison coursing through you, but in a few years, you’ll get over it. You won’t even think of it as a problem anymore.”

“This will last FOREVER?” She buckled and wept uncontrollably, wishing that this were just a bad dream. “You RUINED my life!!!” She screamed at him, hatred filling her heart for him, and her father.

Meanwhile, Cheri’s father was waiting for them to come back, and when he saw the black van pull into the driveway, he opened the door and walked outside to greet his newly-changed daughter. Right as the man opened the passenger door, Cheri saw her father, and lunged straight for his neck.

“I HATE YOU!” She grappled onto him and bit hard into his neck, wanting to make him suffer. He managed to pull her off with his paws, but his neck was bleeding quite a bit. She tried to attack him again, but he batted her hard with his paw and knocked her to the ground. He kept one paw on her tail to keep her down.

“Are you okay?” The man asked him, “let me get you some bandages.”

“Thanks, I appreciate it. I didn’t think she would behave this way.”

“She was hysterical earlier, but I didn’t think she’d attack you like that.” He got some bandages for him and applied them to his neck.

As the man did this, Cheri’s father tried to explain to her why he did this.

“Let me explain why I had this done to you,” he started, “you see, I recently got into this rivalry with a Sylveon, and as you may know, Dark is weak against Fairy, which puts me at a disadvantage. However, now that I have a child that’s Poison, that will give me an advantage over him. I’ll train you to become strong so that I can have you fight him, beat him, and settle our rivalry once-and-for-all.”

Though Cheri was already feeling sick, what her father just said to her made her feel even worse. “You...destroyed my life...so you can...prove...how tough you are...?”

“Yeah, what’s wrong with that?” He asked her. “It would mean something for the both of us. We can work together as a team and win a lot of battles! Sure, you won’t be able to evolve now, but your new typing makes up for it!”

“Dad...I hope you DIE, and then ROT. You wrecked my entire life!” She barked at him, “I’m going to feel sick until the day I die, look hideous, and not even get the chance to grow up. You are a JERK!” She belted that last word at him, and wrenched away from his paw suddenly. Instead of attacking him again, she ran into the house, jumped onto her bed, and sobbed into her pillow. The physical and emotional pain was going to be with her until the day she died, and the longer it stayed in her and consumed her, the faster she wished that day would come and end it all...

Mary Sue Test (New OC)I've come up with a new character recently that is based on the poison Eevee I drew a month ago, and I'm going to do this test as a way to introduce her. I have the line-art done for her, but it still needs to be colored in. Her name will be Cheri, and she is ten years old.
