Edit: I went back and erased some of those unnecessary lines.So here's my first drawing of Milton (MC for my Camp NaNoWriMo story next April), and I admit it does look a bit rough. The pose, the hat, and the expression were hard to nail down on the first try. I added some lines on him to try to indicate his age (59). Here, he is pleading with his extremely stubborn and arrogant son to just pay attention to what he has to say, but Joseph only turns his back to him, turning a deaf ear. I won't release any details yet on the story, but it takes place in the year 1912, it's going to be very spiritual (a verse that will probably be a central theme in the story will be 2 Corinthians 5:21) ; and the ending is going to be terribly depressing. I plan to draw the cover sometime next month.

Oh, and I uploaded the title song for the story, but no one has commented on it yet. I'll go ahead and leave it here. I wanna know what you think!

omh,dude, im just like...why the hamster are all your characters so awesome?!
i mean,a joelton with a fancy hat,thats definetely one of the most epic things i´ve ever seen
but he looks so sad here,especially his body language is extremely expressing,he looks like he tries to stand tall but is really hurt inside,and his little crying face just makes me want to hug him forever...how mean can a kid be to make its own parents literally cry?! i feel so sorry for milton,and im extremely curious about the story itself, im wondering why and about what joseph and milton are arguing,why joseph seems to be such a meanie and what the whole plot might be about...also, "extremely spiritual" only fuels my curiosity
please,can you tell me a bit about milton as a person/pokemon? i´d love to get to know that cutie better <3

Warning, the following is pretty depressing
Milton is actually Diego's great-great grandfather, and this story is going to uncover a little bit of his ancestors' past. Like Diego, Milton also loved his family very much, but they didn't seem to love him back. The Christian aspect of the story is basically about a newly-saved man trying to save his family by giving them the gospel, but they keep turning a deaf ear. One day, everyone in his family except Joseph is killed and he'll never get to see them again. Not long after that horrible day, Joseph kills someone and gets imprisoned for it, and he is handed the death sentence. Milton desperately tries to reason with his son in jail so that he'll believe the gospel and they'll be able to see each other in heaven someday. However, Joseph keeps refusing to listen, and Milton becomes heartbroken to the point of sickness as Joseph's last day on earth is approaching. Milton desperately tries to think of a way to get to him before it's too late...

really,its already such an intense story even though i just know your little desription yet,but it sounds like a real family-drama-thing with deep characters,even deeper love,many hidden morals and life lessons,and last but not least tons of feelings,thats totally the stuff i love to read,even though i already know im gonna cry like a little girl....
i.cant.wait.for.that.story.
especially cause its about diegos ancestors...now i finally know where the world´s most epic umbreon guy got his style from <3

Nice work and cute! Make sure you don't press too hard on your pencil because when you erase those harsh lines and then color over them, they will appear as white ghost lines. Outline and sketch lightly.
