Please check out my Patreon. Thank you!Β Created a PatreonI decided to post this sketch because I like how it turned out, and I want to turn this into a full drawing later, and give it some context. I am planning to make Roy somewhat of a more serious character from now on since he is getting older, and will have greater responsibilities in the near future. If you look backwards through my gallery, nearly every drawing of him shows him happy, but I feel it's appropriate to show him portraying other emotions since no one in real life is happy 100% (at best, maybe 50%) of the time. Life is hard and problems always come up...

His stance looks very fierce and aggressive. I also really like the positioning of the feet. They seem to be more planted on the ground compare to your other drawings.

Thank you! That's likely because I used a ref for the feet this time around, and I liked how those looked more than how I usually do it. I wanted to broaden Roy's spectrum of expressions and poses, which is why I attempted this one ^^

Thank you! ^^ I admit I used a ref when it came to the feet since I liked how they looked better, and I wanted to make his arms appear a little more muscular since he's approaching his mid-teens, and not a little boy anymore. I think when I do this one again, I'll have his teeth clenched instead since that generally makes characters look even angrier. Yeah, this looks way different than my first attempts at him, and I'm happy I'm gettting better at his design ^^

I think the mouth this way looks like he's just about to spring and bite, so I think it works!!!
