Description
I believe whole-heartedly in works-salvation, that is...we cannot be saved apart from the work that Jesus Christ did for us! He did all of the work, and all we do is trust in Him for that salvation. When it comes to works, exactly none of yours are accepted before God to earn you eternal life; the only work that is efficacious towards saving your soul is that done by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Below are several passages showing the gospel, and notice how Christ is the one who is active, and we are the passive recipients of His grace.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Romans 5:6-11
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Not one sinner in those passages lifted a finger to be saved. All that God requires of you to be saved, is faith.

Romans 4:5
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Your works can't save you because they are insufficient, and God requires absolute perfection.

Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

The only way to have that perfection before God is to have the imputed righteousness of Christ accredited to you.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The biggest deception today is when Satan tells us we can save ourselves with our own works. Such is not true, and if this is something the devil is trying to get you with, may the word of God open your eyes to the truth and effect of God's grace.
