I'm hoping they remove him from the assist trophies and have him become DLC in an updated version of the game. they added Ridley, so i see no problem with promoting a character from an assist trophy to a playable fighter in an update.

How does Waluigi have more potential when he's been in almost the same amount of spin-offs as Daisy? Hell Daisy has more to take from (shame Sakurai didn't take advantage of that) from the likes of Super Mario Land and Super Mario Run than Waluigi.

In Super Mario Land, she does nothing. and there's no attacking in Super Mario Run. she has no potential. she should not have gotten in. i would prefer Sans over Daisy, that's how bad this is.

It's not about what she does in SML and SMR, but what she can do. For example, her standard B could be the "Super Ball" ability Mario used in Super Mario Land and her exclusive double jump in Super Mario Run could have been a third jump for her to separate from Peach's float ability. Again, she has just as much potential as Waluigi so saying she has none is a biased statement. Also using a mod as a "professionally proven" source is by no means credible, especially when the same has been done for Daisy. I've used mods in the Brawl era so I know what I'm talking about when Waluigi isn't the only one with his own mod moveset.

Yes it is. Nintendo could use this moveset for Waluigi in Ultimate.
Daisy has a mod? prove it. and if it's a Peach clone mod, it just proves my point even further.
Daisy would have worked better as an alt skin over Peach. same goes for all clones. i'm looking at you Dark Pit!

Okay, I did a little searching and couldn't find one with her own moveset. HOWEVER, a good friend of mine created Daisy as a character fighter for M.U.G.E.N. with her own moves that can be used in a "professional manner" as well. Granted it's your standard, fighting game setup, but if they managed to utilize Ryu then they could take ideas from this as well. Regardless, given Nintendo's view of modding on their systems I doubt they would have bothered using either a Daisy mod or that Waluigi mod for moveset ideas.
Peach did have an alt skin of Daisy (to some extent), but it was dropped in Smash 4.

Alright, then explain what makes Waluigi a better candidate for Smash as a fighter than Daisy? They both appeared in a majority of spin-offs so they both have plenty of sources to use for their fighting movesets. You said "he has potential while Daisy has none." Well, Waluigi's A attacks, throws and pummel could all be from the moveset i linked to you.
Waluigi could hit a tennis ball with a tennis racket as a projectile for neutral B. press B to pull it out and press b again to hit it. ya know, like King Dedede's side B in 4, but not nearly as powerful.
His side B could be an air swim, like the one in the video i linked to you.
He could pull out a bob-omb for a down b, it could work like Link's old down B, but be more powerful and explode immediately when it hits something or someone. and it wouldn't go off in Waluigi's hands no matter how long he holds it for.
For up b, it could the up b he has in the video i linked to you. however, after preforming it, he could propeller down slowly.
For a final smash, his celebration when he gets an Eagle in Mario Golf World Tour. the final pose would create a powerful flash, sending opponents flying. or he could pull a lever that would trigger raining bob-ombs.
And this taunts would be f*cking hilarious. or it could just the taunts from the video i linked you to.
Every character has two voice clips when they get KOed. a primary and a secondary. For Waluigi's secondary KO voice clip, he could say "cheater". just to throw in some comedy. Waluigi could be the funniest character in the game. and we could use some comedy in Super Smash Bros. Waluigi would be perfect for it.
There's no reason not to include Waluigi.

So? Roy is a mixture of Marth and Ike. a mixture of two or more characters does not equal a clone. not only that, but his side B and up B, although from the mod, they're completely original. they weren't taken from another character. my apologies for the up B, there's one thing i forgot to add. after preforming the up B, he could slowly propeller down making it easier to get back to the stage.
Also, I am very sorry about the final smash. i said "his celebration when he gets an Eagle in Mario Tennis Open" i meant to say "his celebration when he gets an Eagle in Mario Golf World Tour. i don't know how i made that mistake, but i did.
At the end of the day, this is just my personal opinion. i like Waluigi and i think he would be a good fit for Smash. and i believe i'v given good reasons why. i'm not the only one that supports Waluigi for Smash. but i am happy that he's in Super Smash Bros Legacy XP 2.0. although it is just a hack and not an official game, it's a whole different Smash (despite the fact that the character look exactly the same as they do in Brawl and that you need Brawl and an SD card to play it) and Waluigi is in it with the moveset i showed you.

I'm sorry but your reasons are based more on bias opinion and fan creations, which doesn't really help much. Regardless, for a character like Waluigi I find him being an assist trophy is the best for him. It does, after all, showcase the kind of character he is potential or not.
