This is a premium commission of the Ex5500 Hitachi as if it were a transformer of some kind.Both fun and challenging and reminds me yet again how awesome Transformers/Mecha artists are.
The patience for it, I simply donβt possess it.

the patience to have to draw mecha on a constant was what I referring to.
For one offs like this, it's definitely more do-able
but there's no way I have the patience for drawing an entire comic of mecha.

By the way, have you spoken to Mecha artists regarding this little weakness of yours? Maybe they have some kind of process, hint or technique that can help you in the possibility that you may be approached and commisioned for multiple Mecha drawings; I've seen a LOT of your stellar gallery... so I don't doubt that you've recieved difficult commisions before.
As for me? I'll just stick to being a spectator... As much as I love art, I've got no talent for it!

Yeah, I agree. Drawing machines and robots is real patience exercise for all the precision it's needed.

They did a toy that was based on an O&K/Terex RH400; it was in Revenge of the Fallen
They made the treads giant wheels. It was ridiculous.
I think though, that a Quadrupedal design would distribute the weight more.
