Alright, It was inevitable that I do a piece of the Little mermaid for my February Draw-a-day over @ the sketchtavern.
As much as that film seems to be directed toward the female audience, I enjoy this film quite a lot.
Great lead, classy supporting characters, one devious villain and to top it off, an ace soundtrack!
So here's my rendition of that scene, sub-par to the original (as only one inspired by could hope to achieve) but an attempt none the less.
Finished the lines, and Ariels colours before me midnight deadline, but w/ me mates being over couldn't step back to the comp to beat the clock. Ohwell, here it is now, fully completed.

Beautiful! I love this part of the film. ^-^ My counsin (he's now 6) recons that he wants to marry Ariel when he grows up. I don't have the heart to tell him that one, she is even older than I am, and two, she doesn't really exist.

Oh gosh, I love the little mermaid. You have captured Ariel wonderfully and I like how her hair is like a flaming cloud around her head and the whole ambience of background colors. All in all, I really like it and I love Disney.

Really awesome lighting, nice change in perspective. I think my favorite part of this are the clouds in the background, the rock, and the waves crashing on the rock. Wonderful job, I love it!
