so this is a completed splash page off of ~BLUEWATERPROD UCTIONS/Ray Harryhausen Present's series Sinbad: Rogue of Mars, out sometime this year, dunno when..all de backgrounds are are done coloured up and i'm on the characters now.. so whoop!

You draw characters by themselves most of the time so it's easy to overlook the fact that you're really an accomplished background artist.

and that, my friends, is a bow. *bows*. absolutely adoring the rocks and the lighting. also, theres like a feeling of volume to the coloring on sinbad. how do you do that? im guessing you gradiate the colors but im really not sure.
