Description
Full-Colour commission for of his original characters.Based on a written description, I did my best to depict the piece.
Had fun w/ this one.
funny that even though i was looking @ lots of sunrises to get the sky looking proper, it kinda looks like a sunset.

it looks like a sunset because of the colors. On sunrises by the time the sun is that high it is a lot brighter with hotter colors.

I dunno man, the sky gives me a stormy feel....the kinda storm where the clouds roll in and just seem to sit there. But it doesn't rain.
Or...I also almost get this nuclear war-fare kinda vibe. A dusty sky. I really like it. Don't take that the wrong way.
It really gives the piece a certain mood. An attractive mood...
And the perspective I love. As well as the robot..I guess I'm a robot/cyborg kinda chick. haha...but you did a lovely job in my opinion (although I have no idea what the description was)

Wow, I've always loved how the out-of-focus stuff on the foreground add so much depth to your paintings, I love that technique. A friend of mine pointed out your paintings are so lively that they look like frames of animation.
By the way, I've always been curious about the nickname in your avatar, Chamba. In my country Chamba is short for the name Salvador. Where did your nickname come from?

What really sells this piece is the placement of the reeds. That's some attention to depth of field there. Another masterpiece.

to make the foreground placement really be part of the piece, instead of an afterthought (which it wasn't)

I think it looks like a sunset because typically sunrises lack the variety of colors that sunsets do. But regardless, it still looks great; the lighting is excellent. I love the blurred foreground as well; it almost feels like a photograph. Great work!
