Having taken a few attempts at action shots along these lines and pretty much come up with FAIL every time, I feel compelled to bow down. ...and also fave so I can study and improve, of course, so thanks for posting this for all sorts of reasons!
PS: You're one of the few people who use glowing, flare-like elements in a manner That doesn't make me want to stab my eyes, so extra kudos on making that work beautifully. Also: I think that the dust kick-up on the second to last panel *really* sells the motion.
