always very good to keep this in mind. it is so easily forgoten. and i never heard a blues complaining when he was abused ...

"abusing of" the blues is in way overestimating our capacities to face suffering and even plain melancholy ..

EintoeRn In reply to TheCollagist [2010-03-30 18:18:14 +0000 UTC]

right. i was thinking a little bit in another direction, like being to easily overwhelmed by the "blues" and taking at as an excuse for self-pity, for instance, or other "bad" behaviors

parfois ce sont les bleus Γ  l'Γ’me qui abusent de nous

et nous usent

TheCollagist In reply to Piarvi-Recherreen [2010-03-26 18:06:53 +0000 UTC]

oui PH, j'en sais bien quelque chose.
des bleus partout...

mais ca passe par toutes les couleurs , les bleus, et puis ca disparait completement.
entre temps, on en a de nouveaux

(je voulais te consoler, ca n'a pas marchΓ© )

thanks dear.
these last two were made in 10 minutes in a wave of inspiration.

i forgot though to rub the back of the lips after i put under water. they're not as transparent as they were meant to be.

i glued and remembered after.

those waves of inspiration are great.

gluing and remembering after - i think everyone who works with glue has had those moments! many other unplanned moments, too. these look good anyway.

TheCollagist In reply to RichardLeach [2010-03-26 17:03:43 +0000 UTC]

yes i don't regret much, when i look at the little lower part (i did this before) i think maybe the effect would have been totally different.

I'll just keep trying..
hmm, i have many "not so good" ones. wondering how to recycle them

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to TheCollagist [2010-03-26 17:10:30 +0000 UTC]

sometimes when my stuff isn't working, i rip layers off again, that can do interesting things to what is underneath. or i put more layers on. the mot trouve piece with the blue corner was an all blue piece, but most of it got covered up. i also have a little stack of those that just haven't gone anywhere yet...

i don't exactly know what i'm working toward, usually, but somehow... i know when i get there.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TheCollagist In reply to RichardLeach [2010-03-26 17:16:20 +0000 UTC]

and sometimes i wonder if I'm really there

but the road is nice, no matter where we arrive.
still, getting there is nicer

oh we all have doubts - that was the theme of a thread somewhere!

and that second comment - well said, dear one.

i think i'm jumping threads but the intense and calm together is also the poem about wrestling with the angel art.

i'm following you.
still remembering that journal. it inspired me on my other account, remember?

"in placid hours"

that is a such a good poem, old fashioned but completely true - no expiration date.
