Normally I don't upload my graphic design work here, but this is something of an important subject to me.I've wanted to do infographics for a while - partly because I love them, and partly because I thought my portfolio could use a sample of one. For a while, I couldn’t think of good data amazing infographics hadn’t already been created for. Then, I thought of a cause I’m quite passionate about: equal opportunity for all races and both genders, especially as it relates to the entertainment industry.
This subject has been brought up before by places like Racebending , but I’ve yet to see infographics on it. So, after a little research, I created one. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the results. I think it's a good first foray into the world of infographics, and an important but often overlooked subject.

Yeah, it's really strange why countries with majority of white population will have more white people representation in media. Just like Bollywood seems to hire hindu people wa-a-y more than asian or whites or blacks. No offence, but I really doubt it's enitery due to internalised rasism or misoginy or ableism or whatever the buzzword of the day it is.
As an artistic piece it's nicely done still.

I respectfully disagree and that it's not as simple as you make it sound. Agree or not, I highly recommend the article sourced for the infographic - a good read and food for though. Regardless, I do appreciate you taking the time to comment on the work, thank you.

I love this too! but i noticed that on the bottom 'asian' is all small caps whereas other words have bigger caps for the first letter

I’d suggest a couple of improvements: 1. use uppercase sparingly, as all‐uppercase text is harder to read than mixed‐case text; and 2. turn on hyphenation! Justification without hyphenation leads to things like the massive amounts of inter‐word whitespace in the fifth line.
With those out of the way, honestly, I’m not much of a fan of infographics as they’re much harder to quote, link inside, etc. than a mixture of plain text and images. I do like the content of this one, though: it draws attention to something people love to gloss over.

I'll keep that in mind, thank you. I'd rather resize the text box than turn on hyphenation, to be honest - I was always taught for visual/graphic design stuff to avoid it when possible, as it looks sloppy, but I see what you mean about the whitespace. I'll play around with the textbox size and see what I can do.
I'm a very visual person and I think infographics can get a message much more effectively across at times than just graphs and text. But, it's a preference thing, more or less. I'm glad you like this one though, and thank you for the feedback!
