Description
, and I are all big Leliana fans, so here's all our male Wardens who romanced the bard fighting over her. XDTaiyama and Legam are both mages, while Aedan is a human noble. I decided not to put him in armor since I wasn't sure what he wears the most... Besides, Leliana likes to dress him up in fancy outfits.
And no, none of us hardened her after her personal quest. Perhaps we should have, then Taiyama, Aedan and Legam might not be in such a predicament.

AEDAN WINS!
Hehe. Aedan looks AWESOME, love his eyebrows, they are perfect, as is his hair, and just all if it. Did you put in him in a 'frilly' shirt???
Watch out Taiyama, Aedan's not givin' you the look of love there...
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Only if the mages off each other, my dear. Just remember, if they can focus, they might turn him into a toad.
Yes, I put him in a "frilly" shirt.
Glad you do. It was fun to draw all the boys competing over Leli. And I actually like how Aedan came out more in this picture than my first attempt at him, even though I didn't shade this.

Your first picture of Aedan deserves a place of honour because of the thought process...
Wait, in this one he's thinking pretty much the same thing, what are you trying to say here?
He has focus! I'm sure his sword and dagger are there somewhere, one pointed at each mage... 'Now back away, slowly, before I use my Templar mind tricks on you.'

I know he has focus, but I love his face/expressions when he's distracted by the power of breasteses (I forget where I originally heard that word, but I love it.
)

Oddly (or perhaps not) enough, I have also heard and like the term 'breasteses'.
Yes on the facial expressions, he'd make a terrible liar.

It's fun to say.
Indeed. I still think he should get some poker face lessons from Legam when he's thinking gutter thoughts.

They're not 'gutter' thoughts, they're loving thoughts...

Loving thoughts that just happen to take place in the drain. But that's part of his charm.

I thought I had recognized this style. Hey Ranger.
This pic made me laugh. I specially like how all of them have very different facial characteristics (not mention colors) but are drawn in the same style.

Yo!
Well, it would actually be harder to draw them in different styles.

As I said on the forum...
KICK THEIR ASSES, TAIYAMA! FIREBALL! FIREBALL!
*ahem*... Anyway, as I said, I adore this so much. It's very much an honor when you draw Taiyama in any form. Good job on his hair, by the way. It's just like in the game.

Well, I certainly hope you'll draw him again at some point when your muse strikes you. It's no end of delight for me. I'm cursed with an utter lack of an ability to draw straight lines and I always think out epic scenes in my head, then lament when I'm unable to convey them in any other form besides words. So it's always a treat when someone draws one of my characters for me.

It may strike me again, it may not. I won't say no, but I won't say yes either - I just don't know. The fact I'm STILL drawing fan art of Dragon Age says something; I haven't drawn this much fan art in about a decade. I have no idea how long it'll last, though I imagine Awakenings will probably help fuel it.
If the muse does strike again, I certainly will have fun with it. As I said, he's fun to draw.
Oh... And I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. Why do you think I love programs like Photoshop and Flash? They do it for me.

Haha, I was just looking through my favorites out of boredom/curiosity and I came across this one again (it's been a while, eh?). Got me thinkin' on who would win in a three-way fight.
Aedan's the first that would go down, templar abilities or not, for one main reason: the first thing Taiyama would do (after trying to freeze both with cone of cold) would be to cast misdirection hex on him. As Ser Cauthrien learned in the main game when she fought Taiyama by himself (and this is something I totally forgot to include in the fanfiction), it doesn't matter how well you can swing that sword--if every hit is a miss and every critical a normal hit, you're useless. Each of Cauthrien's blows hurt Taiyama fairly well, but they were so few and far inbetween that it didn't matter. Besides, I'm sure Taiyama and Legam could put aside a fight to deal with the mutual threat of a templar--Taiyama would, at least (in fact, I'd say the templar thing is more of a bane than a boon--they might not be as willing to devote their undivided attention to him if he wasn't one).
After that, it'd come down to a fight between Legam and Taiyama. I'm not as familiar with Legam as I am with Taiyama, but I know Legam has all the arcane spells and no healing spells. Taiyama, on the other hand, has spirit healer up to Lifeward, which would give him quite a bit of staying power in a fight. It would come down to whether or not Legam could overcome Taiyama's defenses without giving him time to heal. And Taiyama would have another ace up his sleeve with the curse spell which has a name I've forgotten, but it essentially makes the person its cast on far more susceptible to arcane magic--thus lowering Legam's defenses. As incredibly arrogant as it sounds, unless Legam has some ace in the hole like Taiyama's curse spells, I'd have to call it in Taiyama's favor.
God, I analyze the weirdest things sometimes, don't I? Heh, sorry.

Hard to say - I revamped Legam a bit on my later plays since this (just some of his spells/specs; personality is still the same) and he's now a shapeshifter and arcane warrior (though he doesn't really use the abilities; learned it to preserve the knowledge is all) in addition to knowing all the primal spells. He also knows the glyphs and a few other spells; cone of cold would probably be one of his first moves too, though.
And no worries. Your analysis was really interesting/amusing.

Taiyama In reply to TheDalishRanger [2010-11-27 01:52:15 +0000 UTC]
Cone of Cold IS rather awesome. Regarding the glyphs, the only one that seems to pose a huge threat for a mage would be Glyph of Neutralization. If Taiyama got hit by that, he'd be in bad shape--but he'd also, if I'm reading this correctly, have his magic defense boosted for a while if he DID get hit, which would pretty much leave them whacking each other with sticks until Taiyama got some magic for more spells/the magic resistance wore off. I'm not terribly familiar with the spell, though. Still, since Legam doesn't wear armor to boost his defense, I'm still going to have to call it in Taiyama's favor by combination of Taiyama's affliction curse spell (the name of the one that lowers magic defense, I believe) and Legam's lack of healing/Taiyama's great ability in it. It WOULD be a very close-run thing between them no matter which way it went, though.

"defense boosted for a while if he DID get hit, which would pretty much leave them whacking each other with sticks until Taiyama got some magic for more spells/the magic resistance wore off."
... Now I kinda want to doodle them beating each other over the head with sticks via exaggerated slapstick comedy method.
