Finally finished this, when I went to sign the back last night I realized I'd already dated this when I started it in December of last year! Geez, took me long enough, sorry again Anbessa XP
Anyway, this is the second commission I've done for Anbessa , of his characters Jarri, Chan Ak-Lee and their son Shiro in one of my own landscapes along with some of my creatures. Characters belong to him.

Beautiful. I can just here the female saying "Hey, don't do that." Then they ignore her and get attacked by all the surrounding birds who want a bite. A great single scene that would not be out of place if made into a comic. :heart;

Sorry for the late reply! No pencil, it's inked in micron and colored with watercolor and acrylic.

Mostly watercolor, but there's a bit of white gel pen and white acrylic in there as well. I used Arches cold pressed watercolor paper

Beatiful! I love all the dragony critters playing in the trees and the monkey/parrots, especially that one hanging upside down. Adorable! Your soft, almost pastel coloring style works well with this peaceful jungle scene. What tools and paper did you use for this?

Watercolor mostly, also a white white acrylic and gel pen, it's on Arches cold press watercolor paper, which is lovely to paint on, but a pain in the ass to ink

Ah, now I can see what the picture's colors are so smooth. You are talented with your watercolors.

Lovely work! I saw this on one of your other online galleries (can't remember which one now) yesterday, and I loved the bright colour scheme and the overall happiness of the scene. The little spots of colour among the green, and all the busy little critters, really add a ton of interest. I can see why it took you a while to finish it. Also, the blue shadows on the tree branches are so pretty.
May I ask what the dimensions of the original were?
Cheers,
Donna.
