if anyone has and ideas on how to salvage it, please tell me, because i hate the way it looks right now XP

Aww YES! I absolutely adore this little guy!
The design is "love for the first sight" - I adore how graceful it is, looks like a dragon and an insect mixed up into one awesome shape.
Also beautiful lines, you have great skills for linearts. Also really pretty colouring, it just looks perfect for me. X3

lol, ok XD if i get around to it i'll post some in my scraps. it'll be hard though, i might have to take all the gear-wire thingies off and reatach them afterwards so they dont get paint all over them

This is such a lovely creature!
Maybe you could salvage the background by adding in swirly designs in a darker purple? Not so contrast-y that it makes the entire image too busy, but enough that it makes it less plain.

Pretty. I love the design and the colours.
I don't know. Personally I like the background. It's a nice colour and it's not perfectly solid so it has a nice flow to it.

Beautiful! I love the colors you choose for it. Maybe some flowers in the background would liven it up a bit. just the inked outline though. Don't color them in respectivley. I think it would make an interesting effect.
